I Hate Wedding Cake

I wish that they were selling cheap favour boxes as well!

Ha!

Ha!

I made the plunge...popped into town, and although they say they are cake boxes, they won't even fit a child's sized portion in there! However, they will be suitable as favour boxes! Bargain at £1 for a pack of 10!

My sister had these at her wedding filled with bags of sand to hold the balloons! They do look really cute on the tables, but they are tiny & a bit fiddly to make up - but then they were sooooo cheap!

OK Angry Bear title changed.

Thanks FoX5! I didn't mean to spoil your post...lol! I've just made some and they are quite nice considering the price. They are cheaper than similar ones advertised on fleabay! I'm planning the wedding now and every little helps! If it helps anyone, they are nice favour boxes and easy to make.

What the hell's a 'wedding favour box'?

I can understand a novelty paper bag to put slices of wedding cake in for guests - what else would you put in these for guests at a wedding though? (apart from sand for balloons in some cases).

Not voted cold, just curious!

Hi MKultra (hope you wern't part of that program). Its a box which contains something which you give your wedding guests as a thank-you for being part of your special day. Here's an excerpt from the description at favourboxes.co.uk:

Over the years it has become traditional to offer guests a thank you gift … Over the years it has become traditional to offer guests a thank you gift as appreciation for their participation in the happy couple's most important day. Such gifts are presented by way of favor boxes, bonboniere, tulles, Almonds, dragees to name but a few.

So I guess you can put anything in there it doesn't have to be anything expensive but it will make your guests feel all the more appreciated.

thanks very much for info, great saving considering i was about to pay £3.50 for 5 boxes and these are even better !

Cheers again (rep +1)
