Includes free wife....

That's actually quite a good price for 70 guests, plus all the food etc.. I spoke to some guy last summer who ran a hotel doing wedding packages in some god awful place out in the middle of nowhere, run down and in a bad state of repair, the bridal suite etc.. was a joke. I remember having a conversation with him before we left, and out of curiosity I asked him how much he charged for his wedding package. He had the cheek to charge nearly £4800 for 40 guests during the day, and 100 for the evening..

Have some heat my friend..

My point is that it is not a 'Full' Wedding service cracking saving on the venue and meal though.

Cake £250 - £300 for a two tier layer, feeds 50 people, maybe more..

cracking price . the new bath hotel is near me and a brill venue for a wedding cake or no cake

'Multiple vouchers may be purchased '

LOL.

"New customers only" LOL

Bigamists or serial divorcees not allowed...............!

Very very good price.

excellent price

makes me want to get married again.. heat added..

I suggest you go and have a look at the hotel. I did just over a year ago, and the best thing was the exit sign. It has gone down hill alot in my opinion

'Multiple vouchers may be purchased 'LOL.

I might buy 2, just incase the first marriage doesn't work out!

omg would love to do this.. im already married but we said we was going to renew our vows at 10 years which is next year! We could only afford a little wedding and this would be amazing but hubby has just said no! lol

not to mislead people, you are actually buying a voucher that allows you to buy/book the wedding for £2000.

"...the picturesque town of Matlock Bath..." it may well be if you're a motorcycle enthusiast and you just so happen to be there on a Sunday, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's "picturesque".

Don't do it. This is not a wedding venue.

Yeah, but it has Iggle Piggle on it.

tripadvisor.co.uk/Hot…tml

read the reviews, seems like its a cheap hotel looking to con ppl out of money in exchange for a shabby service that could potentially ruin the whole experience.

It would be sensible to view the place before spending any money on this!

COLD!

also only 1 has been bought
clearly there are massive signs to putting people off this!

Great Deal ,the £3000 saving can be put towards the Divorce Lawyer`s Fee`s

am sure this is one them deals that aint really a deal, by the time u add all extra's it'l go sky high. but heat for the effort.

(am just bitter cause noone wants to marry me)

Perfect deal. Just need to find myself a woman now.

Although this may be a good deal, save your money, give her the 2 grand instead, it will be cheaper in the long run !

How bitchy some of the comments are, get real, we are in a recession and some hotels are offering great deals to get business, no one is being forced against their will to make a booking, but still a great deal in 2011. like to see what the moaners booked as their wedding venue or price they paid in good times.

I would be happy with this as would be second time around and would not want to get in debt for one day and the extras you need can still be done cheap, posh and expensive aint always the best!

you dont *get* a cake from the venue, you buy one. same with drinks, you buy.

never known a wedding package to include cake, everyone has such different expectations with weddings that one generic cake just wouldnt cut it

Me and Mrs W had a look at the New Bath in 2005 when we were getting married. It was pretty good then, can't comment on how the last 5 years have been to it. Ironically we didn't go for it because it cost too much!!!

Maybe you should look at the reviews/"bitchy comments" on trip advisor instead of moaning about comments made on HUKD.
This deal is only hot because random passers by see the £3000 discount and think must be worth a rating. In fact im pretty sure the £5000 price would never be quoted to anyone. But having seen hotel venues for my brothers wedding, I realised most of the venues that charge this price are run down and unable to profit in any other way, due to competition from other places offering much better services with lots of experience. Also from the reviews it seems that residents seem to get neglected during functions.

If that was an attempt to be facetious then it was a poor one. The reason it was not appearing on my Groupon as it is preset to your own location if you have joined before. It was not appearing under my location.

ALL - PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS A HORRIBLE HOTEL. The whole complex is run down and most of the rooms are situated in an annex. There is an outside pool (for the life of me I cant think why) but its poorly maintained and is reflective of the rest of the Hotel. As a previous post suggests - Matlock Bath is, well lets say, its not what is once was or might have been. Lots of Fish & Chip Shops, Bikers, and Amusement Arcades........ its a bit odd and as this would probably be the best day of your life/most expensive thing you will ever do apart from buying a House/Car I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. This isnt just a snapshot view I actually had to spend the week there with a Work outward bound course - that was actually pretty good.
