Weeride Safefront kids bike seat £63.21 @ Halfords

Been recently looking around for a bicycle seat for my toddler, found this in front bike seat online for a cracking price for £63.21, making it cheaper than the unit its replacing. The importer is gobsmacked at this price, as I checked that it is also covered under the "half the price back if your kid doesn't fit in it when they are 4 years old " guarantee.

it's about £89 everywhere else, did drop to this price for a day on Amazon according to camelcamelcamel.

don't forget topcashback at 4.5% as well ( I think )

hope this helps someone!

I bought this for my little boy and it's very good. I was lucky enough to buy it when it was a tiny bit cheaper on amazon but I would still pay this. The seat can be removed in less than 30 seconds by undoing a thumb screw and the support bar stays in place on the bike but doesent get in the way. I'm a decent enough bike rider and found the riding position still very good even with a toddler sat in front if you and even for a novice rider I think they would manage well. It doesent suffer from the swaying that you sometimes get from rear child seats and you can talk to your child and hear them better. Its a good product and I would recommend this instead of a rear seat (I have owned a good branded rear seat too for our first child) Don't forget a helmet for the toddler.

I would add that the only bike frame this wouldn't fit would be a type that doesent have much of a tube space from the bike frame to where the handlebar stem comes out of the frame. If you look on the pic on the halfords website you can see that the front part of the weeride support must clamp to the bikes headstock frame part and not to the handlebar stem. My specialized only has about a 20mm rise before the handlebar stem bolt but it still fits perfectly. But we also have a trek mountain bike and there is no space above the crossbar before the handlebar stem and bolt starts so there's no place to secure it. Sorry if I haven't explained this too well but if you look on the pic it might show better rather than being disappointed later but I imagine this fits the majority if bikes.

great bike seat, our 20 month boy loves it... much better than rear seats as he has a great view, and much more balanced when riding..only negative is buckle on straps can be a fiddle, awkward to reach between childs legs

thanks for the feedback, looks like Amazon and halfords have just started a price war today! the deluxe safefront version is also only £88 at halfords, on Amazon its the old deluxe at 88, (new safefronts have a foot strap, so you can tell them apart)

Am really looking forward to trying this out!

Don't worry, i know what you mean!

We have this seat too it's brilliant! Much prefer it to the ones that go on the back of bikes! Heat

On Amazon lightening deal for next 1 .22 mins for £45.99 though its just the Kangaroo.

I had the deluxe and found that my boy was to big for it at 18 months, seriously, his feet were cramped up in the feet holds at the lowest level & I found it very difficult to continue using with him in it. My son is now 2 years and probably as big as a 3 year old but how on earth a 4 year old will fit I don't know or even a 3 year old, its a shame as I loved taking him out on it.
