Remember gents, you are legally obliged to point this at yourself to demonstrate its capacity to find a stud. It's the manly thing to do.

When you look at the reviews for these devices, they are very hit and miss, even the very expensive ones. Shame as in principle they seem brilliant. In practice you could trust one and die!! Merry Christmas by the way

Because people don't know how to use them.

Apart from cheap Chinese crap, most branded one works well.

If you're trying to find electrical cables than you must sure there is something connected AND SWITCHED ON to every socket in the house.
Every single light need to be on.

Basically the more power "travel" through the wire, than easier is to find it in the wall.
I think this same model is on Gearbest for £5.30 from the EU WAREHOUSE! So like 5 day shipping too. I looked on there the other day and it comes up as £9+ in the search but then you go on the page and switch the the EU warehouse option and the price drops to £5.30.

Less than half of this deal price!

Bought one off eBay a few months ago for a pound cheaper, Same thing just in Yellow ,£10.99 or make an offer.

It does work, You just need to keep going over a few times just to be sure, Found wood beams in my ceiling pretty good as well.Voting cold cos can be had cheaper.

My ex girlfriend had a real knack for finding studs without the need for one of these gadgets, she was also great at managing to bang the stud first time, every time.

Thanks for the Gearbest link. I ordered from Gearbest at the weekend and it arrived on Wednesday. Quicker than expected from the EU Warehouse. Tested it around a light switch when the light was on. Seems to pick up where the electrical wires/cables are going along the wall..
