No problem, I came up with the idea of getting one checked eBay and was 4£ each, wasn't ready to layout £8 so carried on looking
Have to love HotUKDeals. Had no intention of buying something like this today, but feel the need to have one - ordered. Have some heat OP.

Surely its just the same as keeping a normal tape measure on the fridge.
Or in any other place for that matter.
You never lose it because you always put it back on the fridge.
Well if you always put the tape back in the drawer you will never lose that either.

of course! i mean when would this be better than a tape measure or a ruler. it is effectively a ruler that can be rolled up like a tape measure and can be stuck on to the fridge. but i can't really see how this would help?

exactly. i have a tape measure for clothes that is in a dedicated drawer. i have another dedicated drawer for heavy duty measuring tape, about 3 in there. i then have another dedicated drawer for the plastic ruler.

so i pretty much got a lot of tape measure i am therefore wondering, how this could be helpful to me?
I usually find I know where I put my tape but it’s where other people leave it is where the problem begins. This is a great idea and putting it on the side of the fridge so as not the prettiest fridge magnet.

Not the same for me. This is magnetic, so will prompt me to put it on something metal. In general, I tend to leave rulers and measures somewhere near where I have been using them, and am not so disciplined as to put everything in my house, back in it's 'designated' place, after use.
Thanks, for the post, Op! Ordered.

i am forever measuring stuff so that is why i always have a tape measure handy. i have one in my back pack just in case when i am out and i need to measure something unexpectedly

i would prefer there be a phone app to measure stuff as that would be by far the best tape measure

If you have never an issue with a family member taking it and not putting back then absolutly its not useful to you.

The point of this is its not useful for longer things, so people are not going to take it away from the fridge, you would just take the parcel to the fridge, and if they did move it, even a toddler would understand that it the location to put it back is the fridge

I'd imagine if you measure stuff regularly you would proberly be able to guestimate if its small/medium/large anyway :P

could have a mental note of your phones lenght then just sit there like a crazy measuring with a pencil and your mobile

hubby does take the tape measure and then doesn't put it back, which is why there are several tape measure in the draw which he tends to go for! i hide the plastic ruler in another drawer so he doesn't know it is there the clothes measuring tape he doesn't like so he never uses that.

i don't send parcels so i don't know the parcel sizes. the stuff i tend to measure are quite long, like around 2m+ so using a mobile phone will take forever also i have a problem with remembering stuff so i would never be able to remember the size of my phone.
Might be able to use this as a screw tray, hopefully the magnet is strong enough. I purchased a tray over a month ago from AliExpress and that still hasn't turned up. This rular has same day delivery xD

Using that logic, if I gave you a normal tape measure with a magnet on it and a metal tool box it would prompt you to put the measure back in the tool box.
Thank you, ordered one to stick to the side of my laser engraver

Measuring tape is like 3m long which means it's useful to take to object that are away from the fridge

This is only 30cm so your not going to want to measure things longer then 30cm

There is the logic
