Just what it says - please note that this APPEARS to be the USB powered version, not adaptor powered. Making it a bit of a bargain IMO.

all are £49.99

Apologies but no idea how to produce an image of them.

The portable one is a Marketplace seller and not Amazon.

Nice price. A USB powered drive is OK providing the USB socket can supply enough power.

For some users using a hub the power drain from other USB devices can be enough to cause boot failures, glitches and blue screen errors when the drive is in use. Other devices on a hub can also start to give problems due to lack of power.

Connection direct to a socket on the computer itself is advisable or the use of a powered hub.

Just thought I'd mention it before anyone bought one and then thought it was faulty.

Is this just with the hub or can it cause problems if just into the USB port on a pc?

And at Maplin, a 120 Seagate one too, at £49.99.

(Is there something about £49.99 that we don't know about? Other than it's a penny under £50.00?)

Quite right - apologies for that

Added direct link & image, took out the marketplace one as we do not allow those here.

To add an image - look at the image you want to include, if you are in IE, right click it, select properties, highlight the "image URL" and copy it to your clipboard. If in firefox, right click the image, select "copy image location". Then paste from your clipboard into the deal, in the "image URL" slot.

Thanks Emma - but the wrong image is on the link now. That's the 120 Gb, not the 160Gb.

It is usually ok to plug one into a pc but if problems do occur (like blue screens or the drive not working properly) then use a cheap powered hub.
