Simple really!

Best Buy are selling the Western Digital Caviar Green (5400rpm) HDD for £82.49, using code BBY at checkout (25% off on components)

Considering the rocketing price of hard drives these days, this is a smashing price!

No doubt stock is limited, so get in quick!

Care to explain why you vote cold? This is cheaper than the majority of drives with half the capacity...

It's likely because a lot of people think the rocketing price is something most people should ride out for the next couple of months, which is when it's expected the shortage will be recovered from.

Buying a harddrive now unless absolutely essential is a bit daft, in my opinion, but no cold vote here if it's the cheapest current option. That's what this site is for after all.

overpriced, old stock and profiteering i bet. you be nuts to buy a hdd now, prices are starting to fall bit by bit again

purchased one of these from scan a while ago for £53. so this is a steal, may buy a few to sell on a a profit.

Best. Buys will be at their closing down sale in January

There were about 5 on the shelf at Merry Hill this morning. Nobody was interested or impressed with the rest of the hard drives. Other items have been discounted over and above their online ticket prices (Roxio hardware and software etc). Might be worth a browse if you are near one. I walked out empty handed.
Best of a bad bunch would be the Seagate 2TB desktop GoFlex USB2.0 at £89.99 with 20% to be knocked off that. Had a few on the shelves.
