Very good price.

I ordered one of these from Amazon a few weeks ago and they cancelled my order saying they couldn't get stock. That was £50 so I've had another go at £46! Not expecting this to be delivered though.

to technically its OOS, Pixmania has had this in stock the last 2 months whilst amazon has been OOS and its the same price delivered.......
cold purely because its OOS and it has been for so long, not cos of the price

Pixmania Clicky

very good drive

would this work as a storage device for films etc if linked to receiver by usb?

It isn't in stock and isn't likely to be.

Why has this been expired?

Someone being over zealous I think. It's currently out of stock at Amazon (scheduled to be back in for the middle of next month) and defaulted to another seller. I always check the "new" items when this happens as invariably Amazon are in amongst them, just don't have inventory.

nice find - paid similar but for a 1TB last month so good deal.

I was just about to buy the 1TB version on Amazon, so have tried this instead. Definitely worth a shot! Thanks for posting

As mentioned by OP, AOT are selling these at £49.99 but click on NEW and you'll see they're also selling it for £53.95.

Tempted to swap out one of my 640's from my PC with this, but are they likely to just cancel as happened to hotyoda? Not too keen on Pixmania - you never know how many pins you'll get on your plug with lat lot.

available to buy so not expired.
just think of it as slow delivery like dealextreme!

I wasn't aware that deals should be expired even when you can pre-order the item?

Thats not preordering, they have the same one in stock for £50 so stock isn't an issue, its that they wont be getting any more in at that price.

Its wrong. It also says in the description, 'just connect the power and plug it into a USB port'. If you look at the photo, you can actually see a small round socket to connect the (12v) AC power supply. Only the external drives with 2.5" drives inside are usb powered and there is no way on earth you would get a 1.5GB 2.5" hard drive for £45....

i saw a 2.5" 1.5tb drive in maplin for £130.

Note that Amazon UK have increased it's price to £49.09p.

I ordered this @ £49.09 last week and have just had notification from Amazon that it is now preparing for dispatch,so i guess that anybody who ordered at the lower price will be getting the same notification as me.As for the doubters about it ever being back in stock at this price...........looks like you may be wrong.
Edit: Item dispatched,now in transit.
