Good price but the problem I have with these drives is that the power cable always seems to fall out, maybe it's just mine?

Just yours. I have two of these and it takes a good pull to dislodge the power cable.

Use quidco code WDIGIT5 to get another 5% off.
Price you pay = £68.01 + 3% Quidco cashback.
If and when the cashback comes through, net purchase price = £66 for this drive.
Excellent price for a 2TB drive including delivery !

I bought one of these the other day at £56.79. Nearly posted it on here.

So far, so good - whisper-quiet and doing its job very well

Im sure I recently read that early ones have poor resistence on the cable and WD were offering replacements to stop the cables being removed too easily...

Is it fat32? Better than the samsung that's on here?

NTFS as standard but very easily formatted to FAT32/exFAT.

Whats the failure rate like on these as opposed to a 1tb one? or 1.5 and 2tb ones in general? I'm after some more storage and this looks very tempting.

A couple of bad reviews on play.com...

Oh yeah. It was the 2tb one I was looking at on play. My bad.

It's £74.99 btw.

You'll find bad reviews for every single make of hard drive ever if you look hard enough. In my experience, if you're careful with them, and provide adequate ventilation room, they'll last.

Seems its no longer available. Changes basket quantity to zero near end of checkout stage.

But for anybody else after one, there are still some left here: amazon.co.uk/Wes…379 @ £57.50

I bought one from above link, but heat added to Mike. Cheers op !
