Nope, Just one. Had a 500GB one of these for over a year now and it hasn't broken, not even once! Sorry to dash your hopes.

I have 2 of the 750GB's and they are very good, might go for this also.

Just couldn't resist. Had to buy.

I’m been looking for a 750GB USB drive for about £85 but this is tempting me due to the triple interface and extra 250GB. They could throw in an eSATA cable at this price surely!

Heat and rep added.

I picked up one of these on Monday from Amazon.

The 1TB MyBook Home (USB2+FW400+eSata) is *less* than the 1TB MyBook Essential (USB2 only) at the moment

It comes formatted in FAT32 which gives you 931gb of space

Does anyone know where you can buy a eSata backplate? The only ones listed on Amazon seem to be from 3rd party sellers/Marketplace
would this be suitable?

does anyone have anywhere near 1tb of data?

 yes, I've got over 800Gb of music files in my music server and this is backed up on another system - 4 x 500Gb sata drives. VERY tempted to get a couple of these 1TB units ...

i need a 60gb really lol anyone got any hot deals on one for that size? or maybe 80gb? dont want to play over £40 cheers

Is a sata interface card cheap and how do you install i?. I have the latest Mac Pro. Is it easy to add the card to it?

Thanks

Hi Sinecure, I belive all you need is a SATA to eSATA extender cable from one of the free SATA connections on your Mac Pro's logic board, like this:

not sure if they do international delivery but its pretty cheap for $25.

good luck!

Hi Kowalski and also @ Sinecure

Yah that should work fine for a Mac Pro or a PC with free sata ports

All hard drives fail eventually which is why we backup in the first place.

I archive important data to DVD-R as well as to an external hard drive. For added security you can backup data to an online backup service which would come in handy if your house burns down. If you don’t have a copy of your data stored at a second site it’s not really backed up some would say.
