Before people flame me saying you can get a 500gb drive for cheeper you should note that this has a esata port, a lot quicker than usb/firewire.

Fixed!

i've got one of these and they're excellent, shame that the deal has been voted cold by people who don't understand esata and fw, even though any test tells you that the throughput is double usb. i posted this drive a few months and got the same response so don't be put off future postings.

I didn't vote cold, but a lot of the reviews on Amazon put me off ordering as the esata port seems to have been badly designed leading to people having to cut parts off the lead in order for it to work, with mixed results.

Thanks, thought this would get very hot, its a cracking deal. It annoys me when people vote cold when they have no idea what they are talking about. Like you say I have seen the data where esata is around twice as quick as usb, its as quick as a internal drive.
