Are these OK for a NAS? They have TLER which I thought was the important bit, but a lot of people online are saying they are optimised for writing regardless of data integrity which seems counter productive? I have 4 WD ER drives in my NAS at present with a further 2 dead ones, I need to replace them but can't afford ER drives!

They should be fine, if data integrity is of primary concern then the file system and raid controller are more important than drive specifications.

That's a tenuous assertion, at best.
Anyway, the drive-label matches my new toaster. That's good enough for me.
You've earned a hot-vote and HUKD have earned a penny or two from my purchase.

But that is the exact reason that TLER and other error recovery controls exist, to limit the time the drives firmware spends recovering from an error and allow the raid controller (or FS in ZFS) to fix the issue.

Had 2 purples fail in my server. All other WD drives (reds/blacks/blues), running well. Not buying purples again.
