To be honest although this is good for a 320GB drive, you can get 2.5 500GB drives for as little as 41 pounds. Which is 50+ percent more storage, for 25 percent more cost. Which by anyone's account, is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better value and a no brainer for me

The 500gb is definitely cheaper per GB. However the age old adage applies here. More eggs in one basket the cheaper the basket per egg held. But when the basket is broken all the eggs are gone.. unless you have RAID or at least two backups.
