Thanks, been after a WD drive for a while. Ordered.

nice find m8y

Hot for the price, but wouldn't buy from Pixmania.

I've never had any problems with pixmania. They try to add on extra warranty but that's easily cancelled before you buy.

My wd portable hd failed after the slightest drop, absolutely terrible customer service

I bought a TV from them 3 years ago and the HDMI ports stopped working (whilst still under warranty). They arranged pick up and delivery at my convenience and had it back to me within a week fully working. Can't fault that.

Is this the best bang per buck? how durable are WD 1.5TB HDDs?

Lucky, i ordered a DVD/HDD combi & that broke after 15 months, they refused to pick up & said we had to pay the p&p to send it

I was after a 1.5 or 2 TB drive at a good price. I'm not in a rush for one. It's just for when I work away from home to take all my legally backed up films with me.

whats the cache and speed of this hd?

It's 3 quid cheaper today
