Good for homeless people in this cold weather ... but they might not see this post, so you'll have to tell them
If this begins the radical overhaul of over priced coffee shops then I'm all for it.

He can if he wants - leave him alone.
I remember reading elsewhere they are introducing this on a branch basis when they install a new self-serve tea/coffee machine? Maybe I have that wrong but anyway the bit about the new machine is here.

Not much of a difference from their standard clientele, surely?
Another Wetherspoons winner.

Cheap night out

The massive plus for alcohol drinkers is that these coffee machines are drastically reducing the times the wetherspoons staff have been spending in creating some foamy latte nonsense. The system benefits all.

what's wrong with a Coffee and Muffin for £7.50?

Our local has been doing this for a few weeks now, and they have the new self service machine with a choice of about 3 coffee's. OK, more coffee options from the new machines would be good, but as its unlimited free refills I can't complain as its better than the previous choice of 1.

Our local Wetherspoon's is fine.

I suppose the customers reflect the type of area/town where they are located.

It's not in every spoons yet and trust me the queue for the machine is a total pain.
During events weekends , ( like Dickens Festival in Rochester last weeke) they cancel this offer. its one cup of luke warm rank filter coffee in a paper cup for £1.40.
I am sure this has always been the case near me. I could be wrong, but I have been getting refills for the time I have been in. Where I am you just walk up to a machine and select what you want and no one is anywhere near by to even check.

Maybe I will have to use them as an office more.
If the machine did mocha, I'd move in
Heat added but it's unbelievably watered down to just taste like brown water it's not worth even drinking
Not a bad deal For those who don’t want the homeless inside (I don’t see why it’s much bother, lol) but why not take a paper cup with you or ask for one and take one on your way out to give to someone? Wish there was a Werherspoon’s more local to me

Yep. I'm sure they are targeting the same audience. Alcatel selling 40 quid smartphones eventually put Apple out of business in much the same way.

For the stock exchange.
99p in Durham
Toolstation = free tea/coffee/hot chocolate/ veg soup/ tomato soup/ lemon tea and unlimited
I wish they' allow customers to empty the used ground coffee container, that would be my main complaint often the machines are waiting for staff to empty them. Also refill milk occasionally. I've never had more than one refill but find the coffee as good as many other establishments but cheaper especially now with free refills. I'm not sure I would describe the clientele as looking like homeless people but sometimes they have drinker's skin with red cheeks and peppered noses plus fingers that look like they spend most of their time holding onto pint glasses and rarely go back straight even without a glass in their hand. Reminds me of the old action man figures.
