This is, I think the best price for this charger from Aliexpress that meets approval. IMO it is the best most versatile charger for any size of 3.7 volt lithium rechargeable battery. It also has a side connection for charging from a 12 volt source. I've had one for years and (unlike others) it has always worked and it remains cool.
It is fitted withe a US plug but you can easily use an adapter or even replace the lead.
- Model: WF-139
- Input 1: AC 100~240V
- Input 2: DC 12V 400mA
- Output: 4.2V 450mA
- Can charge 18650/14500/17500/18500/17670 batteries
- With LED status indicator
- Comes with a power cord (2-flat-pin plug)
- Dimensions: 13.2 cm x 6.2 cm x 2.8 cm
- Weight: 3.32 oz (94 g)

Will also charge LS16340 with a bit of tweaking

Conclusion

The charger does not follow the recommended charge procedure for LiIon batteries, but it does charge to 4.2 volt and then turns off. It takes a long time to charge 18650 batteries, but 16340 and 14500 are charged fast.
I believe that it is a useable charger.

Hmmmm...
Things like phone chargers battery chargers power banks etc imo should never scrimp on cost or a brand name just not worth it for a few extra quid to have peace of mind

Interesting. I don't understand why he says the connections on either side of the battery compartment are not connected to anything, they are on mine and can be used to charge LS16340. of course I suppose any 139 could be a copy. Mine contains decent 400 volt capacitors on the mains side, many cheap Chinese chargers are fitted with 240 volt capacitors. It is sensibly fused. When charging, the batteries get warm, never hot and the charger remains cool. His main criticism seems to be that it doesn't charge at the a 'suitable' rate. FWIT my charger measures 4.25 volts with no batteries in circuit. How he manages to charge any batteries with another version with 0 volts I don't know.
Of course the trouble with anything from China is that it can be a copy.
Anyway how did your superior one fare?
@niceroundpound thanks for your comment, but is there a link to the guide?
Having had a few low price items such as this from Aliexpress, is it likely that anyone will be charged import duty and tax?
@jasee sorry about that, i've added it in now.

Actually it is interesting but far too long, how can anyone remember all that?

Yes it is a long one, but we wanted to give members a detailed guide. We'll be adding this to all the AliExpress threads.

As it is below £15, the answer to your question is "no".

This is the comment I replied to in which you appeared to be asking about import duty.

It was a retorical question. I didn't think anyone would be charged (certainly not on this amount). Sorry you misinterpreted it
