Homebase are currently selling the WG2400 two Burner gas Barbecue with Side burner for £44.99. This includes the current promotion of 10% off.

Comes complete with gas hose, regulator etc.

Argos are selling the same barbecue for £65.25, reduced from £97.89!! Homebase themselves currently have it on their website reduced to £65.25 so this is an in-store promotion only!

They had loads of these stacked to one side of the main entrance of the Hedge End store, fairly well hidden, but they were selling fast!

They are forecasting great weather for the weekend so make the most of it, folks!

Well pardon me, there is no need to be so damned nasty.

I wasnt being 'so damned nasty'. Apologies, I didnt realise you were so fragile

Plenty in the milton keynes store last night.

can you use lava rocks with this one?

There was a £5 off £30 or £10 off £50 leaflet in my store. My partner picked it up instore. As i remember, valid for this weekend/week,not quite sure.May be worth checking first.

there were none in my local yesterday. Plus most of their sub £200 bbqs did not seem to use lava rocks, which isnt good.

Perhaps they just werent displayed with them, but it didnt even look like there was support, or space, for them either.

In common with a lot of gas BBQs it doesn't use lava rock as it has a "flame tamer" device built in.

Real men use charcoal. Using gas is like "going camping" for the weekend in a motorhome with satellite tv, dishwasher and a king-sized water bed; it misses the point entirely.

Voted hot but agree with above entirely....
We have a gas thing for cooking food on indoors...

Following that argument, no one would ever buy a gas barbecue!!

just to let anyone local to me know that homebase washington have about 10 of these left . They are not on display but are located boxed left of the main entrance as you enter the store. After the 10% discount they are round about the £40 mark, good deal I think

Have just assembled mine.

There's a fair bit of screwing together to be done but it's all fairly straightforward if you read the instructions.

It works fine with butane as well as propane so I'm able to run it off the blue bottled gas that goes with my trailer tent. All you need to do is change the regulator, which is about £7 from Calor stockists, Towsure etc.

(The BBQ comes ready to go with a 27mm regulator that fits standard Patio Gas/BP Gas light bottles)

Can someone un-expire this please?

The offer runs until close of play tonight and the local Homebase still has stock..

hawt!

Heat and rep added

Overall an excellent machine, cooks great and is neat enough to store but with still a large cooking area. The Well comes in the construction, you need a degree in engineering, well nearly, just allow yourself about 3 hours and a few strong words"This BBQ does NOT use Lava Rock, and no Lava Rock should be added. It has a metal 'flame tamer' instead." Maybe should also state clearly the type of gas bottle it is suitable for, as the one we already had was the wrong type. We did manage to connect this OK, but not sure its really ideal (or safe!)."

Won't this run until the end of the bank holiday weekend?

The 10% offer runs yesterday and today only...however, just caught the tail end of a Homebase ad on the telly and I *think* it said that they are doing 20% off tomorrow, so it'll be even cheaper if this is the case!!

That "review" of yours been cut-and-pasted from various reviews on the Argos site:

You haven't actually got one yourself, have you....?
