Diamond 9 at 40£ richer sounds What is better

Depends if you want to save money or have better sound. Personally at this price I'd spend the extra and get the 9.1's, but I own the 9.0's and they're pretty good.

9's are fine for smaller rooms, but not great for larger rooms.

9.1's are exception for larger rooms (and smaller rooms).

heat

Is there still a good amount of bass without the separate sub woofer?

Tight bass not room shaking.

got these a few weeks ago at around this price. Excellent bit of kit. Every review I've seen raves about them

i think ive got better value for money microlab solo 7c for £100 now little more expensive

They are completely different. They are active speakers.

I know speakers are subjective and I don't really expect anyone to know. but how do these compare to a pair of Cambridge Audio S30's?

These are larger, that sometimes makes a difference. The S30s are nice, never heared these though. I went for the Zensor 1's

Showing £99.95?

Sorry missed that bit.

What are these like for mixing music?

?????

probably a stupid question but totally new to this. how would you then link these up to a computer or ipod? can you do it directly through cables or would you need a separate amplifier or something else? thanks

For mixing? Use headphones and some flat response speakers?

You need an amplifier for these.

Code doesn't seem to do anything for me, still 99.95

A bit excessive for stereo but it will do.

Damn you, you've just made me buy a new hifi! Onkyo CR N755 + wharfdale 9.1 speakers and 3metres of speaker cable for £315 is a pretty good deal though as i was already considering buying that setup

I got cambridge audi s30 from richer sounds for 130 , they rock loads of bass and crystal
Clear, richer sound allow you to audition. My amp is a denon pma 250 .
Sources are ten a penny i.e dab radio or portable cd player or mp3 player

But you need a good amp, a crap amp will sound out of control

You're best auditioning things like this to be sure.

You need an amp
Your text here
And using a cable connect the 3.5 stereo output of the mp3 to input of the amp, maplin will have the cable

Got these in rosewood four years back from Richer Sounds for less than this, but that was a seriously good deal. Still heat, the speakers are worth far more.

Got the rosewood ones for just under £100 about 4 months ago, very pleased with them. Only use a Lepai TA2020+ with them, but they pair up quite well.

He asked are these good for mixing music, so I said headphones. If you have to ask that question you're better off with headphones.
