Some abstract thinking there....
I have one of these already and will never look at it the same way again bit unsettling as it's in the bedroom and I live alone.

You're posting for Superfi, yet linking to the reviews at Amazon reviews.......where it's the same price with debatably better customer service. I assume Amazon have dropped their price to match?

Ah, just noticed that Amazon is actually Superfi anyway!

it's good!!!!! Prob too good (loud) for where I Live lol. Hot price

Great price. My old Wharfedale Modus sub developed a nasty buzz a while ago and been meaning to replace ever since. Pur-chased! Thanks OP!

Amazon is not superfi and has never been as for the subwoofer its not a bad bit of equipment but doesnt go as low as claimed and can clip quite easily but its ok for starters but id rather buy a second hand m & k sub or similiar. Wharfedale is a budget brand

Never had mine clip, and I have driven it hard. As for not going down to 35Hz my test dvd suggests overwise. If you want to take the risk buying second hand on ebay, good luck!

Not a bad sub, mine is in the garage now waiting for me to repair the power amp as it has a massive dc offset at the moment
This sub will drop to 35Hz but it's Db rating won't be so hot that low.

down to 35hz is not that great for a sub my floorstanders go lower than that as for buying secondhand who says you have to buy off ebay theres plenty of choice out there and you obviously make sure your happy with the goods before parting with the cash

It's still a risk if you haven't got a warranty. My old sub had an intermittent fault and worked fine until it was warmed up after an hour or two.

Was going to get one but went with a Kef PSW 2010 instead which should be a little better if its a reliable one as some do fail I heard.

I loved both my KEF PSWs, but they both blew their amps in less than two years

Currently have a REL Q150mk2 which needs repair. At this price it's tempting to run two of them.

This pops up after I got Boston acoustics asw650 last week only!

Same price via Teso, as Superfi sell there as approved partner. Thought the points may be attractive to some people but I think it looks like they charge £3 delivery

Recently? Must have been second hand then?

Save your money and get a BK XLS200-FF , 10 times as good as this and only twice the price, bargain

been this price for weeks. :-D

Mine seems to cut out intermittently . Sent it for repair (bought from superfi) came back...still doing it. Annoying...maybe it's not in the right spot in the room..next to two walls....

Have you tried turning auto power switch off?

Have just taken a look..it is switched on. Does it automatically cut out according to sound levels then? I'll give it a go. Thanks v much

Yes. I have read on some forums the switch off time can be too quick on low sound levels. Not noticed this myself though.

Hope you set your fronts to small speakers and not large or you will only be getting the LFE off the thing I made that mistake, don't worry it common.

I bought this last week over the bk subwoofer. tough choice as I hear constant praise for bk. Gemini £228 xls200 £328. size wise bk are smaller than wharfedale. but £130 on a quality sub that will go nicely with 5 mission mx speakers. I would recommend for the real space saver rel t zero if you can get it for under £200 it's a good buy

I've been thinking of getting a subwoofer to complete my 4.0 system, this might be a great buy for me. It seems to have really reviews and £130 is a great price even if it is only 150 W. Would it be suitable for my setup? Details:
