DAB Micro for £59.99 @ Argos

we have the DAB version of this, don't like it at all, really fiddly trying to change stations. Relegated to kitchen now.

2 x 4.5 or 45?

Dab is poo anyway.... most stations are broadcast as 128kps MP2

Also if the rumors are correct it's not got much life in it anyway as they may change the codecs used to make better use of the bandwidth.

Its been at this price for a while now.

I got the missus this for xmas. Seems OK, and does everything you'd expect it to.
Very handy for playing MP3s off a CD or USB, and she uses it for charging her iPod as well.
I'd say its pretty good for the price.

Charges the iPod?!

It should charge the iPOD through the USB port.

Welcome to HUKD Hamish

was it ever intended to be £90.

Its a £40 max unit. Just one of those marketing tricks.

2 x 4.5 watts? Thats extremely low, it should be at least 2 x 45 watts.

Banned

typical Wharfedale, the rock bottom brand on the market today- shame as they used to be quite good. Yes, it really is 2x4.5 watts RMS, what a joke

Wharfedale is nothing more than a name owned by Argos themselves these days isn`t it? :?
Like Challenge Extreme or Mikomi? Wharfedale used to make great stuff, but anything in a wharfedale box has Argos`s headquaters as a reference point on the box and in the manual.
Still, nice little set for the kitchen or kids room. Hot.

I think I found £30 including delivery in some other sites.....

I totally agree with you. Wharfedale was once a decent brand and made high quality stuff. Now their stuff are cheap and low quality especially their LCD TV's.
