Currently £14.99 on Steam. I guess this is the cheapest it has ever been. Beautiful game. It has got very positive reviews everywhere; (10/10) on Steam, 8.8/10 IGN, 9/10 Polygon, 88 metcritics. I even found Mark Cerny, the lead Architect of PS4 has been playing it recently, haha.

What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state.

As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day.

The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the Finches themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member's death.

Ultimately, it's a game about what it feels like to be humbled and astonished by the vast and unknowable world around us.

Created by Giant Sparrow, the team behind the first-person painting game The Unfinished Swan.

REVIEWS

“Succeeds in recreating the childhood joy of reading a book and being utterly transported into its pages.”
5/5 – The Guardian

“Beautiful and bittersweet.”
9/10 – Polygon

“Edith Finch earned every tear, every laugh and every moment of joy.”
Recommended – Rock Paper Shotgun

Yep, I had seen the PSN thread - didn't have an idea about this game, but now I'm going to get it.

Have some heat, not meaning to be a cheapskate but personally I'll wait for a further drop on this one, I have plenty to keep me going X)
Great game, I paid £12.99 on a PS Plus pre-order and cant wait for second playthrough
Heated, but not buying yet as can imagine this being in PS+ before the end of the year
Heat. Game looks great too, worth giving the developers the money instead of PS+ing it for free at some point.

These type of games usually only merit a single playthrough - this one is different then mate? Having said that, a lot of people wouldn't play Firewatch more than once, yet I have.

I wouldn't call Rapture tedious but I realise it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I didn't buy a bloody PlayStation so I could read books!
You can run in rapture. I only found out after completing it on my first run. Think you keep R2 pressed.
