Need a new mattress, might consider this, but it's such a gamble buying one without trying it first.

I couldn't find one to try in any stores so in the end bought based on the reviews. Glad I did.

It took a couple of nights to get used to is as it was harder than I was used to but after the first 2/3 nights I was sleeping like a baby. My back is much better too.
Slightly chilly from me, although excellent mattresses.

For a double version of this I paid 10% less than this 'daily deal' price about 1 month ago from matressesonline.co.uk with scheduled free delivery, all good. At the moment I can only see is listed there as a Sofia (Is there any difference? Because I think the comfort pocket 1200 range is marketed under different names at different outlets, but the same range won the Which? awards anyway). Link Here

Its definitely the best price for the king, I spent months looking!

You're right about the names though, they are different names for the same mattress. I had it confirmed by Silentnight. Copied and pasted below;

Good Morning,

Thank you for your recent email.

We can advise that all of the products you have advised on the below email would be the Classic Pocket Deluxe 1200 product which was awarded which best buy product.

The products are sold under different names through different retailers but we can advise that they are the same product, the only differences would be that the coverings on the mattress may be different.

If you require any further information, please contact us.

Kind Regards,

S Chapman

Wasn't the 1850 spring version sold for £400 on Amazon Daily Deals a few days ago?
Only £12 more for an additional 650 springs
It's a misconception that a higher Spring count means a better bed often beds with higher spring numbers make the bed softer. It's also worth noting you do get what you pay for generally with beds, better quality natural fillings and better Spring quality in the better beds like a Hypnos bed or the over expensive vi Spring beds

Memory foam what ever type will always get hot and eventually sink permanently making the bed bad for your back, they don't last as long. If you go to the big chains it's often difficult to price match beds as they either rebrand or exclusive to them. Go and try beds in a small independent shop and they stick the beds online shops have and so you can try before you buy. Remember if they have it on a sprung divan base it will feel soften than on a non sprung one
brilliant advice above couldn't agree more - you have to try a bed first - independent bed shops first - avoid the big chain rebrands - and then if necessary buy online to get value for money
This mattress you have to turn regularly, prefer a no turn mattress to avoid the hassle.
