Possibly another Curry glitch but for those in a need it is worth looking into it. Apparently reduced from £299.99 so not a bad deal with £120.99 reduction. Spec as below:

Capacity: 56 litres
Oven type: Multifunction
Easy-clean enamel
Energy rating: A

Think this one might be geniune as it actually shows a reduction in price.

I dont know, I ordered Zanussi which came up earlier for £134 and had a confirmation order but it may mean nothing.

Er, how is this a glitch?

I said it may be as previous Bosch one for £59 must have been , try ordering and see what happens...

ordered the £59 earlier. Just had my email saying the order has been canceled.

looks good, says as advertised on tv so legit

Valid deal. Just picked one up for this price. Collected instore

I added heat just so you got to 100 degrees.
Not much available on the net review wise so nothing to compare to, or even to establish if the discount is genuine or fabricated DFS style.

But it's always frustrating to be stuck at 95 degrees!

Same think happened with the Zanussi Oven last week. Took my money and then cancelled the order the next day. I wonder how much interest they make on all the money before they refund it.

I have the predecessor to this model. Its very good although would have preferred to replace it with the bosch as that had self cleaning. The main difference is that this consumes 2500W vs the bosch at 3500W so would have needed a new circuit for that latter.

yup confirmed as a valid deal, just bought mine and used the code HOVEN10 to get 10% off my hob at the same time.

Wife will no doubt still moan mind you

This one is not a misprice, I bought it over a year ago from currys, it was on sale for £199 and I had a voucher code for 10% off which made it around £170. Good oven, would highly recommend at this price!

Fortunately any interest will likely be wiped out by money processing costs. In fact, the Bosch and Zanussi screw ups will have cost them.

We bought this one last time round. Horrible oven, mum refuses to cook in it. Not a true 'fan oven', rather a 'fan assist', so no element at the back. Instead, when you use fan oven, it turns on what is basically a grill element at the top and burns the top of whatever you try and cook. I've tried using a grill pan on the top shelf to try and block the heat, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. Had Whirlpool come out and check the thermostat e.t.c. over and said it was working correctly.

I suppose this does have a plus side though, it does heat the oven up rather quickly.

Not voting either way (though I cannot see how it is possibly a £300 oven myself) - my honest opinion is to look for something better, ideally with a true fan oven setting, or at least with a concealed oven element.

Do you know what interest rates are right now?

I ordered the Zanussi on Friday last week, haven't had any cancellation email as yet

My Zanussi is till showing on my account as being delivered in December....don't think I'll get it so I bought this one as well.

bought it a couple of weeks ago @199, we bake a lot at home and my wife loves it. So far, every cake or home made pizzas were just perfect (my wife can cook, though ). Fan assisted or fan over, I don't give a damn as long as it works.

In that case, it's entirely possible it's either a bad batch, a bad single unit, or Whirlpool fobbing us off. Doesn't actually matter now as it's going to be scrapped within the next 3 weeks - the new kitchen is sat in the garage (well, the units and all bits apart from cooker are), and we are going for a free-standing range this time around. Will be nice to have a selection of ovens (and a wok burner) to use

Anyone know if I can put a plug on this and plug it in, or does it need hardwiring? The man in cirrus said it was supposed to be hard wired and was not convinced I could just put a plug on. He said there would be no comeback if I broke it by doing so and in the end talked me out of buying it.
