I just bought this unit to replace my broken down 12 year old Zanussi.
Has to be the cheapest A++ rating FF by some way.
Website even has a customer's video review!
Free next day delivery!
Delivery was exceptional. Received a text on delivery day morning with 2 hour delivery slot and the delivery man rang me twenty minutes before he arrived!
Can't comment on the long term reliability obviously but it looks very nice...
Deal actually started yesterday sometime.

Slight niggles:
no ice cube tray or egg tray
the top freezer drawer has no back
reversing the doors looks time consuming - the instructions appear poor
no wheels on rear of unit making it a bit more difficult to maneuver

Some specs:
Frost Free
6th sense tech - keeps food for longer (sounds good...)
245kwh annual energy usage
223l fridge
97l freezer
60cm wide approx
187cm high - this could be the deal clincher to some...

will they take your old one away?

Massive 223 litres Fridge Capacity and 97 litres Freezer

Shame I just bought a fridge freezer a couple of weeks ago, would have quite happily of thrown another £30 at it and got this instead.

For a fee of £9.99

i was looking for fridge freezer over 2.0m high, this is 1.87m yet it claims it holds 223litres? is the fridge really generous in size?

Yes it is.

Bought a freezer from this company last month, delivered in 2 days.
Unfortunately there was an internal fault with the unit. They delivered me another one the very next day.
All fine. They even took away my old one for free instead of the £9.99 usual charge.
Can not fault the company, very courteous and helpful.

Is Whirlpool a decent make? Never owned anything by them. I would prefer the freezer part to be the 223 litres and a smaller fridge part but the price looks good to me.

Do you think this will get more heat if I put the height in the title?
It's taller than this one
It's cheaper, bigger and uses less energy than the Samsung deal from Currys that got really hot recently as well!

We bought this one. From the time it turned on it was noisy, (After leaving it off for the recommended 6 hours), it sounded like crickets the wife said. It was loud enough for me to hear it in my office, which is slightly off from the kitchen. Decided to keep it on for a day or so to see if noise levels would improve, they didn't.
Also, noticed that the 6Sense which controls the fan wasn't working the way we expected it to. When 6Sense was on, the fan was off, when turned off, the fan turned on. Called Whirlpool to see if this is how it was meant to work, the guy said he'd email me some documentation on the 6Sense feature, and would speak to someone with more knowledge and call me back. Neither happened.
Other issues, the temperature inside was not getting as cold as we expected and wanted. The coldest we managed was 5C, tested with 2 digital and analog testers. The back was frosting up quite a bit, with water dripping down the inside into the crisper drawer.
We stayed in contact with AO about these problems, what a fantastic company, brilliant service. Anyway, we arranged with them to return it, in the meantime we carried on hunting down a better one. In the end, I bought a £1 Which trial to help, and decided on a Samsung one. While the shelf space and adjustability of them kept putting me off getting one, I decided enough was enough and just bought one. AO delivered and collected the Whirlpool.
From the minute the Samsung one was turned on, it was whisper quiet. It didn't even sound like it was running, after a few hours, temps were reached and matched what the front panel was set at.

So, yes, it cost £100 odd more, but it was well worth it in the end. The frustration of choosing a decent fridge is a pain on its own ... I think we may have just got a dud, but it was enough to put me off Whirlpool fridges at least. Many other people rate it good, but I've yet to see my review for it appear on the AO site where I pretty much say the same as above.

Overall, the fridge is not that great IMO so I can't recommend it, the company ao.com is brilliant to deal with though, so if you do get it and have issues, they'll help out in getting it returned if need be.

thanks for the comment, hopefully we have a better experience with our one! was a bit concerned but had it delivered yesterday and had it on overnight and all seems to be good so far, not too noisy and very chilled inside in the morning (2.7 degrees when i checked) - so at least they didn't send me your old one!

will keep thread updated if there are any issues that come up. happy with our purchase at the moment!

Glad to hear yours is all good ... I really think ours was a dud, or they dropped it or something hehe. You'll know if its the one we had if it had a big dent in the black radiator thing on the back ... was delivered like that.
