This has taken over from the lower spec Bush model as Argos's flagship washing machine deal. Seems to be well worth the extra money.
Available to collect from store so no delivery to pay - just don't rock up in a Smart Car. Currently plenty around - all my local large Argoses have stock.
Catalogue number 281/9897.

EDIT: Also available for Delivery as Catalogue Number 282/5111 at a cost of £8.95. See link below.

Although delivery is not an option for this catalogue number the same product is available for delivery only under a different number:

In this case delivery would be an extra £8.95.

Having said that I'd happily collect it as I have an old Ford Galaxy. Saves waiting in all day for a delivery.

Seems like a good price. Any reviews?

I brought this when it was last on offer and my friend, we both love it. Had a Hotpoint before with 1600rpm, and even with the 1400rpm the clothes are really wrung out ready for the dryer.

HOT, great deal

is a washing machine fool

got this machine. Good for the price

Voted hot as my last machine was a Whirlpool I got via this site here and it only gave up the ghost a couple of months ago after nearly six and a half years. It needed a new pump which I couldn't fit, so by the time I paid to replace and have a new one fitted, i thought it more prudent to buy a new machine with warranty. Could have been repaired though for just under £50 if you could do it yourself. Very reliable, faithful machine which looked like this except no flashy lights and was 1200.

Nothing but trouble. Had 3 of these so far, replacements. Some how they're able to flounder sale of goods law by stating you only have one year of trouble free use. Watch out when you register for your warranty, they take loads of details and probably sell them off.

Well I collected mine as our old one broke and needed a new one straight away. Have had it for 6 months and purchased for £249.99. Argos keep playing with the price. It's a good washer but it's not a £420.00 washer if you know what I mean. At £250 it beats any equivalent Hotpoint, Zanussi, Hoover etc. Only problem is it is very noisy. It's not a machine to run at night if you live in a semi and your washer is on the adjoining wall.

Yes it is heavy, about 70 to 75 kilos. Also don't be fooled by it's 8kg capacity. It's a bit of a con because you can only do 8kgs on about 3 programmes and they last a long time. Better of doing the 4kg wash for about 60 minutes but it does have a quick 15 minute wash.

I would buy this washer again and is recommended.

Just picked one up and we are very happy. Major saving and less expensive than the last one and the new one is an upgrade in load size and spin speed. Thanks HDUK.

Had this machine for a wk now quite happy, only problem is all the reviews say half hr wash, but there is no half hr wash only 15 minute one unless I'm doing something wrong, does anyone else know if there's a half hr wash that I've missed on it ? Would love to know, thanks suzy

Expired?

Anyne got any recommendations for a washer-dryer? Around £300 - £400?

expired - close

Back again - £249

It doesn't matter which program i use or the size of the load, the machine will not take in the softener from the tray. Does anyone have a solution. thanks
