Looks like a good deal. Reserved one just now. Been meaning to get a new washer for weeks.

Try appliances online for prices, then take free next working day delivery, and 10 percent cashback with quidco. I just got a Samsung smart washer doing it.

reserved....thanks OP

Argos reviews look good too....

Great price for an 8kg machine (perfect for doing king size bedding :))! Not sure how Whirlpool are rated these days but it's an excellent deal.

No not really that similar as it's only 7Kg load while the Argos model is 8Kg.......2lbs extra washing each load makes a big difference

Whirlpool are still excellent machines.......my parents have only had 2 washing machines (both whirlpool) in 18 years & the current one is still going strong & used daily

Whirlpool is a quality brand, since the recession they have been known to sell off old or soon to be discontinued stock cheap as chips. Got a Whirlpool combo microwave from Comet for £150 down from £350 and a 5 year full breakdown for 10 x 12 months a few years back...still going strong, which makes a change from my 2 yearly purchase of a cheapo £100 microwave, just as the guarantee has run out lol.

Definitely recommend Whirlpool.

Delivery only £9 - useful for those of us without a Transit.

I second the comments on Whirlpool quality. They make (or at least did) all Ikea branded white goods and we know what Ikea are like for demanding quality on goods branded with their logo.

Great deal.

Got this when on similar offer in January you won't be disappointed good deal.hot(_;)

What a star. Thanks jamgin.

Was it ever really £419.99? I mean that's a massive reduction.

humm... looking at the reviews on the Argos website, a lot say exactly the same thing.. "Yes, I recommend this product" Is this a suggested comment from the web site, or did all those people say exactly the same thing (which I very much doubt).
Hot anyway..

Always worries me when there is only one seller. How can you compare the price with other vendors? How do you whether this is just a rebadged poor spec model, (likely) or that it has parts not normally found on other machines making it more difficult to repair? (Less likely)

Whirlpool, indesit and hotpoint are the same group and these are just about the least reliable of the major appliance brands according to Which. You'd want an extended warranty if buying this brand.

Guys who get called out to repair washing machines seem to recommend Whirlpool though:

from experience I've had mixed quality. I had Indesit washer for 10 years with no problems but a very faulty hotpoint fridge freezer. when contacting the large online seller about fridge freezer they said they would only expect hotpoint appliances to last 12 months before becoming faulty.

I have this machine - it's very nice but you'll struggle to wash a Single 13 Tog Duvet there's not enough room for the duvet t move around.

Indesit took over Hotpoint quite a few years ago and now Whirlpool has taken over Indesit. Any fridge freezer should be reasonably reliable but washing machines are far more prone to problems being highly mechanical. It's luck of the draw though. Miele might have slightly less than 1 in 10 failure rate but Whirlpool might be close to 3 in 10. That's still 7 in 10 that don't have problems. However after the standard warranty it's not unknown for a washing machine to be written off due to the price of parts needed for repair. Personally I would always go for a model with a long warranty supplied as it removes all risk and think of anytime after the warranty as bonus time.

i bought this machine 2 weeks ago i paid £250 it is fantastic weighs your washing tells you how much detergent to put in .turns out we were using double what we needed to ,uses just as much water as it has to ,and it has a 15min quick wash ..altogether its brilliant .love this washing machine!

It'll fit in an estate car.

I have this machine but it's a 7kg one and its been great. Bought it just over a year ago and no problems whatsoever. I paid 209 for mine then on an offer and this is also a great deal. Highly recommended and heat added.

I looked online elsewhere, came up on some site Bob's Shack bobsshack.co.uk/137…ead, his indication was that it was a Argos specific machine, elsewhere, the similar model was a 9kg model for about £40 more.
