Thank You

Felix is on 2 for £5 in sainsbury's if the cats prefer that.

Just found out that the show '8out of 10 cats' got it's name from whiskas.
Because the advertising slogan used by whiskas was originally '8 out of 10 cats prefer whiskas'.....

.....just a thought for the day :P

Urm, are you a teenager too young to remember TV before the year 2000 or something?

Yup

It's a good deal but for cat food overall pouches are a waste of money.

Each pouch is only 100g so effectively you are getting 3 tins worth of food in each box.

At Sainsburys right now, not even on any kind of special offer, 6 tins of Whiskas Variety Chunks in Gravy will cost you £3.16. Supermeat tins are the same price as well.

24x100g = 2400g for £5
or 6x400g = 2400g for £3.16
But on the other hand pouches are a serving whereas with a tin you would be storing an open tin somewhere = possibly less hygienic and less convinient, plus the smell of an open tin may bother me.
I think i'm looking into this too much....i'm gonna shut up now

Of course you can purchase plastic tin caps, which mean no smell, more hygenic etc....:whistling:

I'm Not Denying That Tins Are Probably Cheaper But It's Just A Pain With Storing Them.
It's Hard To Judge How Much To Serve Up And With Just One Cat A Whole Tin Takes A While To Get Through!
That's Why We Were Converted To Pouches As There Much Easier!

48 pouches in Pets at Home for £9 - not sure what flavours included - we got the fish ones (tuna, cod, prawns & salmon)

im with a couple of you ...good deal technically so voted hot...

but these must be the "ready meals" of the cat world it isnt difficult to open a tin and take half out....and leave half for later with a cap on in the cupboard...you get such better value for money with the tins.

Id say though using a high quality dry food over tins is even better in the long run...

I'd agree - but only if your cat has access to plenty of fresh and clean water.

I religiously put down clean water for our cat every day.

I have *never* seen him drink it.

He is 13.

Am I a fool?

If your cat is anything like mine, it goes to the bottom of the garden and drinks the skankiest water around before it will touch the nice fresh water in the kitchen. Our labrador is the same, so maybe we just have crazy animals.

Probably drinks out of next door's pond. I keep putting it down in the hope that one day i will catch him having a sip!

Wilco have a 3-for-£6.78 deal on Whiskas pouches if you have a store handy.

I would agree except I would say feed a better quality food full stop regardless of whether it is wet or dry.
