Whiskey tasting set @ Tesco - £9.50

Found 22nd Dec 2017
Whiskey tasting experience.

£1.50 discount, not to cheap but makes a nice last minute gift. I know it will probably be half price by boxing day but if anyone is looking for a stocking filler might help.

Found at the Tesco store in Wath but sure it'll be the same in all stores.

Happy days
"The Ultimate Whiskey Tasting Experience". That might be overselling it a bit considering the average spirits in the set. Fair price though for someone who isnt really into their whisky but likes a drink

They might as well get some cans of super if they are not really into their whisky but like a drink
Think you are right with the huge oversell!
had similar set in tesco. The gin and fever tree. £9.50 saving £1.50

I often get these for birthday and christmas from family who know I like whisky. It's the thought that counts I suppose

It is correct for the Jameson and JD, but wrong for the JW. Perhaps they should have called it "The Ultimate Whisk(e)y Tasting Experience"

If your on the reasonable single malt train they would probably baulk at the price, it's maybe better they think you only spend £10-£20 on a bottle

The Scots spell it whisky and the Irish spell it whiskey, with an extra 'e'. This difference in the spelling comes from the translations of the word from the Scottish and Irish Gaelic forms. Whiskey with the extra 'e' is also used when referring to American whiskies.

From the spelling police they're both technically right lol.........extra points for whiskey lesson??? ;o)
Wrong!
Irish invented whisky and it was originally of higher quality than what we now call scotch, the additional e was put in to differentiate between the two types.

I'll get straight on to google and inform them of their mistake. How very dare they mislead me, I thought everything googled and appearing on the internet was true. Thanks so much for enlightening me
