thanks tallpostie - direct link above

Hmm, being so cheap I could probably stock up on these. Having these rings as "spares" comes in very handy when deceiving

I know nowt about engagement rings except my wife lost hers about 10 years ago.
Is this worth £90?
Might do as a Xmas pressie.
Thanks

White gold? Isn't that silver?

Brilliant.
Do you need a job by any chance?, we could do with some humour in our office!.

£90 engagement ring? Isn't that what Argos is for?

You got to love Elizabeth duke, well when your 17 and you tell your girlfriend at the time it will stop me cheating on you !! lol did it heck !!

This is one ring Frodo can keep.......

for the woman you (don't) love

Whatever happened to the unwritten rule that you had to spend a months wage on an engagment ring? Suppose for some of the workshy loosers on here, £90 is just that.

My jeweller told me any abrasion against a white gold ring, such as from a ring next to it (wedding ring) would eventually rub off the white gold and it'd have to be recoated.

i'm sure technically (or old school)... it's 3 months salary.

There are a few on there for that price.

I don't think i'd mind if someone only paid £89 for an engagement ring for me, surely it's the thought that counts, not everyone can afford to spend hundreds of pounds.....

Its three months wages! Maybe its an unwritten rule oop North to only spend one Months Salary!:p

Hot deal by the way! I dont but that 'its the thought that counts' crap. If its worth doing its worth doing right. Stick to the Three Month rule if you really love her, even on an apprentice wage of £40 a week thats £640 and Im sure they have gone up since I was one.

Still, with Marriages lasting no longer than the Honey Moon period these days why spend more?:D

To be fair, if your avatar is you, you should count your chickens if you get a £8.90 engagement ring..

Now that was funny!

Eeek.. she could have had 75 of these instead.... however she's worth alot more than a £90 ring!

That wasn't an unwritten rule, it was a marketing campaign by De Beers to sell more diamonds.

Having said that, I think I'd rather give no ring than a £90 job.

meh engagement rings are less important than wedding rings...i think its a bit of a scam you have to buy 2 to be honest.

Marriage is a three ring circus: engagement ring, wedding ring, suffering.

In my opinion, if you're not going to spend thousands on a proper diamond, then you may as well buy something cheap & cheerful like this, then spend the money you saved on something worthwhile. My experiences of engagement are that you'd be better off putting the cash towards the actual wedding or a house..........but each to their own.

Surely if you have 'experiences' of engagements, i.e. you've done it more than once, then you're doing something wrong and are not the best person to be taking advice from!

lol, yes, I'm on my 3rd engagement, which is why I know that spending a fortune on rings is a waste of time - you might say I'm a slow learner! hehe
