Been looking for a Note at the right price for a couple of months now. This is the cheapest price I've seen from any "reputable" UK-based retailer for a sim-free unlocked Galaxy Note. Next cheapest I could find was Amazon and Play.com at about £385

This is only for the white model. The Carbon Blue device comes in at £379.

And as pointed out below, you should qualify for 5% Quidco too!

is it only 2% quidco?

Sim free it says 5.05 % on TCB.

It's amazing how much people pay for a mobile device and I'm fallen a prey in this too!!!

Got one for a total of £306 with 200mins & unlimited texts per month on the Phones4u deal with Quidco.
O2 Bolt on removed, cashback received, and gave the sim to a friend who pays me £5/month for the minutes and texts.
Boils down to £191 and will try to dowgrade the tariff after 9 months if I get lucky

Still, for this price it is still a good deal for what the phone does. It's the best phone I've had so far (upgraded to ICS).
Specs are still future proof and has something newer phones lack (bigger screen, s pen, premium suite, etc.)

£2 more on amazon.

If you got the contract after 30th of march you will not be able to downgrade.

If they're paying you, and you're paying o2 then you're still responsible if they start charging for things outside the allowance...

Probably worth waiting another few days to see what the s3 release does to prices

I have taken that into consideration so it is agreed that all charges incurred outside of the allowance will be added to the £5.
My friend's phone is very basic so no 3g or MMS, just call and text. I have told him he just have to use the landline for special
numbers like and international calls which is very unlikely. I also have the o2 android app so it's easy to track his usage anytime.
£5 for 200mins and unlimited texts is a steal for him as he pays over £10/month for less minutes and texts.

Outstanding phone, dont think of the big screen...its thin and light and once you use the phone with the big screen, you wouldnt like any other mobile.

I did give this thought some serious consideration, and reasoned it's not a direct competitor (size and S-pen), and S3 preorder prices seem to be in the £480 range. I don't *think* that it'll drop too rapidly, and every tenner they shave off the price brings it closer to the wholesale cost. Maybe we'll se a glut of second hand ones though...

No. Yours depends on Cashback.

Even without cashback, the other deal is cheaper as its includes minutes, sms, and data while this one doesn't have anything.
Still, more choices for people who wants a Note so I won't complain

Cold. Cheaper from amazon.de.

Its a phone... Best i ever had... Far superior that the iphone. Apple need to relase a phone with 5 inch screen.

I'd rather pay a few quid more & buy from here as if you have any problems there won't be a long wait before you get a replacement. Especially if you buy from Amazon.co.uk, they'll most likely do a swap at the door.

Amazon.de is more efficient.

Just read about the old offer of £120 worth of free movies and music and avg pro security via samsung hub. Offer is still active despite date of 31st march. I just did the avg and songs on mine, got voucher for movies but will download it when am at home with wifi.

Where's the offer / link for the £120 worth of free stuff please? Missed that one.

There is no link to it...u have to go on "samsung hub" app on the galaxy note.

Download the Samsung Hub app, choose exclusives on the bottom and then tap IMEI to submit. It will show you voucher codes and apps to use to use them with.

The O2 deal was the best a few weeks back at just £15.50 a month unlocked from day one and with £50 cash back from phones 4u ........ And a sim with 200 mins and unlimited texts which I gave to my son and put my 3 sim in to it.... ( interest free over 2 years no need to shell out 350 in cold blood)

I swapped my iphone 4 for this phone a few weeks ago...only regret is that I should've done it sooner!

I've decided to wait until the LTE frequencies are ratified later this year, and hope there will be a new quad-core variant of the Note out at the same time - i.e. a Note which is based on the S3.

I'd have thought it'd be at least 18 months before a new Note hits the market.

Hot from me! Perfect for those not wanting a contract! Shame I don't have big hands to hold it lol.

Great price, may well have to take the plunge as the device itself is wonderful. Heat added.

Does anyone fancy submitting a 'found a lower price?' request to Amazon? I've done it a couple of times, but usually they only ever budge when they receive a fair few.

The white version is currently about £388.

Its on for £360 on amazon

A stunning phone you will soon get used to the size.
I swapped my S2 for this and it will take some phone for me to ditch this beast.

I just can't justify the size of it. It's too big for me to use a phone and if you want a big device to use for web browsing then buy a 7 inch tablet.
