I've done the 12 month offer that was posted a few weeks ago.

Very nice phone.

Quidco has stopped but TopCashBack is still about £48.

I think the 12 month deal is a better option.

Can get Topcashback go match Quidco plus they are currently giving a 10% bonus so £55. (£147).

The only reason I am not ordering this is as will DAP pay quidco and automatic cashback.

No data just makes the phone pointless

@top gear get with the programme mate.
The deal isn't the contract - stick it in a drawer or give it to a family member on PAYG.

You're getting a phone that would cost you £300 sim free for c £150 and paying for it over 24 months.
You can use whatever sim-only tariff you choose and aren't tied in.
Voted hot - cheers OP.

I would get this to replace my phone, but I suspect only one redemption would be awarded -- either the Quidco one or the Dial-a-Phone one. If someone can confirm both are paid, I'd get this.

pintoo both will be paid. You can have this it is a nice phone.

Will I still get cash back if I remove data bolt on? Can I really remove the bolt on?

Would love this phone if they had put a front facing cam on, what were they thinking

wiill this phone come unlocked

I currentl have a phone (on 3) that I hate. I have another 8months left on the contract so I might just bite the bullet and get a new phone and see if that improves the performance of the phone.

I am thick though....how do I get this phone for £150 over 24months? Can anyone help? Idiots Guide please!!!!!!

Wow - on XDA you can overclock these phones to 2.0ghz !!!!!!

What does that do to battery life though?

I got this phone on the 12 month Vodafone deal, it really is a brilliant phone.

Very good deal if everything comes off, considering selling my sgs and getting this instead.

Still don't get why someone would get a contract just for the phone. Paying £6 a month for data is cheaper than getting another SIM to use. Isn't it?

does anyone know if this phone is unlocked?

It's a contract phone of course it will be unlocked.

Simple really. I'm on Giffgaff so I get truely unlimited data, unlimited texts, free calls to my family who are also on Giffgaff etc. But it's PAYG so I don't get a free phone upgrade every 18-24 months. Getting this I get a new phone for less than buying it sim free, pay it off over 24 months interest free and can still use my Giffgaff SIM and keep all the benefits.

I do struggle with that too. Unless someone has an outrageously cheap sim contract to put in the phone, it doesn't make sense.

Even sticking a GiffGaff sim in this raises the cost per month to £25 for the first 12 months, then £20 after. There are many better deals around than that combo.

Good timing!

Maybe you can answer my post then because I really don't understand. You're going to be paying £25 for 12 months then £20 for 12 months - total £540 over 2 years. How is that getting you a good deal - why don't you just get a contract phone with good minutes/texts/data for less?

Will DAP pay the £110 automatic cashback if take off the data bundle as soon as I receive the phone (or possibly before I receive the phone)

This might not be true for every contract phone.. wasn't the iphone locked to o2? and you had to pay £15 to unlock it before the end of the contract?

They send a cheque after the 22 day grace period so just leave the data bundle on for the first month to be safe

yes, planning to do the same

Dialaphone phones unlocked. I always get from them.

Just ordered this, hope the order goes through unlike T Mobile which decided I had bad credit - despite not owning a credit card in my life...

For me, 100 mins, 500 texts and 500mb is enough each month (for £6 a month (sort of)). How much do you pay for Giffgaff?

£10 for 250 minutes, unlimted txts, unlimited data and free calls to other giffgaff phones for 3 months

Owning a credit card makes your credit better (assuming you make repayments on time) The more direct debits, bills and contracts etc you have had, the more you can prove to the company that you can be trusted.

thanks. As I don't need that much allowance, I'm probably best using the supplied contract sim.

Unfortunately it's more often the case that if you don't owe anything or have much credit available, you often don't have much of a credit score (as there may not be a history to show you've borrowed and repaid reliably in the past). It's a crazy system as it means as long as you can juggle your finances to meet repayments, it's pretty much "the more you owe, the more you can borrow".

If your not using the contract sim, I expect this deal is better.

18 months contract, Samsung Galaxy White SII for £21.67 a month. Same quidco, and the data could be removed.

Sorry Jaybear88, inadvertently repeated you there, must learn to type faster on my phone!

HOW TO REMOVE BOLT ON

This is really easy and I thought a summary would be best as it sounds hard but it is really easy.

Dial a phone will actually send your new number before the phone arrives. So just call O2 and tell them to remove the bolt on and they will do it even before the phone has arrived.

OR

When you turn the phone on or insert the Sim to another phone, you will immediately get o2 texts telling your online username and password. So just go onto the o2 website, log in, and then you can remove or add bolt ons and just remove the data bolt on.
