These scare me...not the pincers, just the 'how the hell do you eat them?' moment.

Anyone willing to part with advice to help me?

Nutcrackers and a decent carving knife will do the job, but you can get proper tools

They've not had these in my Asda at all & rang them just now & still nothing ... And it's a large store too :-(

Perfect for a lobster curry!

Need to 'Nip' in and 'Catch' this deal.

Ideal if you're Penny "Pinching"

If you had only used "Pincers" instead, that would've been so much better!

Be aware these lobsters are tiny. The weight for the whole lobster is a mere 350g and the vast majority of that will be the shell, claws and bits you can't eat.

It's still a good deal, but if you're planning on getting one for a buffet or a meal for the family, you'll need a few of them.

They are very tiny indeed! Barely half a portion but ok if you fancy mixing it up a bit. I topped a steak with one last night.

very small , you dont get much meat off them, I have had them before,, tasty but small

Just confirming what the others have said - hardly anything in them.
Not worth the bother to be honest

I agree with the very small comments. When You see how much meat you get for £5 you might be a bit disappointed. If you are cooking for several' people then buy a lot of lobsters. Or preferably get a big one from a fishmonger.

Good deal. hot

Great deal thanks

I'm hoping that Santa Claws will be bringing me a few of these...

Sigh... resorting to Dad jokes at the tender age of 32...

You're very "Shell"..Fish with that one

Arrrrr themachman, I was just writing one about HUKDers loading trolleys with lobsters to sell on Ebay. The punchline was GOING to be "Come on guys, don't be shellfish".

Come on Chimp, think, think dammit... there must be more.

Eureka! Drum roll please:

This is way better than some of those other crabby deals!

the claws and shells can be blitzed down in blender and used in sauce much tastier than any sauce you can buy

I am pretty sure these are farmed and £5 does not represent good value for money as, as you said, very small. After throwing away the head, not much to show for a fiver. I would rather have a chicken!

Really? I've never heard of this before. I make stock with the shells, but have never blended them. Pray tell me more.

I tried the Tesco version which is 350g for about £4.50 on offer last month. As nice as it is, there was probably around 60g of edible meat.
I would go a bit more expensive and get a quality product. More g/£.

CHICKEN THERMIDOR ?

Eh, Iceland have had this for months now.

Holding out for the 2 thirds lobster.

Love this!

An alternative is to get crayfish tails from the deli section of waitrose etc, those are ready prepped morsels.
