Whole lobster (frozen) in-store Asda £2.50

48
Found 8th Sep 2015
Reduced from £5 down to £2.50. Plenty left in Asda Newark. I bought 2, use by date of January 2016. Staff said clearing out stock and price should be national.

Has anyone found it in other ASDAs
thanks
States reduced from £8 to £5 in Asda Sheerwater
If you work in a shop, and someone asks if it's a national deal, you know its gonna end up on here.
In Glenrothes too - along with massive reductions on whole crab , dressed crab , crab claws, squid, mussel meat, prawns and lobster tails (2). Long dates so looks like a clear out.

My mate said he got crabs from a girl in Asda.
It may be national then.

Yep, it's in Dundee Kirkton branch as well. I was looking at them askance the other week, thinking that I really want to buy one, but have no idea what to do with it when I get it home, except scare the kids.

In the restaurant, they are expensive. So it is a luxury thing eating Lobsters ...
After warming it, you crack and peel the shell using pliers like when you want to eat crabs,

Looking at the picture they're already cooked and then frozen, so defrost it and re-heat in boiling water, crack open the claws to get the meat out, use nut cracker or maybe a meat hammer (under a towel) and then use a knife to cut down the tail (bottom side) and take the meat out, don't eat the bit in the main body, but when you've seen it you probably wouldn't want to anyway
If a Lobsters life is ONLY worth £2.50p - How much is a poor persons - Particularly to the got lucky got rich and to the "On Inheritance Benefits" Tory Govt ??

It really depends on how many lobsters he had eaten in the past.

Good chance you'll get a bit of liquid escaping when you crack the shell so you may want to try cracking it within something like a (thickish) freezer/food bag (maybe the plastic it came in) as well as wrapping in a towel to minimise the mess.
Do you think there might be a reason, a lobsters looks like a Giant cockroach?

My wife always gets angry with me because I'd rather eat lobsters than make love to her.

I think I heard her say I'm such a shellfish lover. oO

Lobster tastes less fishy also. Get her down the GP!
Last time I had lobster was in a restaurant, but the one they brought me only had one claw; when I complained I was told it must have been in a fight, so I told them to take it away and bring me the winner.
What did the lobster say to the lobster after they ate all the fish heads?
Well that was good. Now how do we get out of this thing?

What happened to the lobster when it got itself into hot water?
It turned bright red!

What’s the worst part of a lobster’s life?
Boiling alive.

What did the lobster say to it’s obnoxious kid?
I roe the day you were born!

What are lobstermen catching in the far east?

Crust-Asians!

Doesn't a Iraq lobster , explode for no reason.
Sadly none in the Birkenhead store, but they did have 350g packs of frozen Scottish crab claws reduced to £2.50
Got one pack, 2 remaining (freezer cabinet by the fish counter, if anyone else in the area is interested) .

We call them the 'one armed bandits'.

They were always cheap at the fishmonger near my grandparents as the restaurants didn't want them. About £5, freshly caught that morning, cooked but not dressed.

How I miss them, in fact I haven't had lobster since. Shame I don't have an asda near.

Though of course, lobsters really cannot scream. Whether they feel pain or not when cooking them alive, I don't know. But they definitely do not scream. They have no vocal chords for one thing.

It has a nervous system therefore can feel pain-as do ALL living creatures, including us!
