Sounds fishy is this a spratt to catch a mackrel.
That's mad. I went to Morrison's as its £5kg but all sold out. This won't last long
Crap quality, good price, heat added, fish cooked........
Full of antibiotics, riddled with sea lice and worms, eeeuuugghh

It’s beyond time this type of cheap salmon was banned. The polluting fish farms in our estuaries are decimating wild salmon on rivers here and in E.g. Norway. Production should be moved to captive onshore closed waters at the least.

They are not small just in case you might be thinking they are. I saw one on a Salmon in a Supermarket and was somewhat shocked. However having fished for nearly 50 years ive seen lots of smaller types of lice on a variety of fish that ive caught. They tend to congregate around the eyes and mouth of fish. Hasnt put me off eating fish (yet). Just put it down as some extra protein lol.

I was just thinking that its usually farmed crap, not wild.
There was a massive queue at the fish counter on Friday when they had it for £7.50/kg!
And smoking or cooking kills the parasites, as does freezing it at -18deg or lower for 7 days if you are wanting to eat it raw in sushi and the likes.

Unfortunately it's the parasites etc that are killing off our wild fish as they navigate past the fish farm pollution in the estuaries during their migration run. By supporting this cheap farmed fish meat it's incresing the problem until soon there will be no more wild Salmon. The Environment Agency have just announced a large no of our rivers are in crisis mode for the foreseeable future.
