WHSMITH £5 off £12 spend

Found 2nd Mar 2012
If you buy anything at WHSmith (even a 30p paper) you get a voucher on your receipt giving you £5 off £12 spend. This is on total spend, not one item, with no restrictions. My voucher expires 11/03/2012 so plenty of time.

anybody knows of a printable version of this?

Could you buy stamps with the voucher??

The voucher says £5 off when you spend £12 on anything in the store. Their normal T&C normally don't allow these, but the voucher does say anything. You would have to check instore.

If it were stamps you could buy id go for it, bout the only thing in there thats not more expensive than other high st shops, would be useful for eBay selling etc, if anyone knows would be helpful

Could we have the exact wording of the voucher on the receipt, please, Chrisk?

I have apic if someone can tell me how to upload

I'd be extremely surprised if this was "no restrictions". They don't normally apply to stamps, lottery tickers, gift vouchers and tobacco and quite often exclude CDs/DVDs and games consoles.

The terms and conditions do exclude these unless the promotion specifies otherwise. The voucher does actually say £5 off when you spend £12 on anything in store so it depends on how argumentative you feel. My mate used the voucher to buy a lot of lego minifigs and got another voucher on his receipt.

if you can use it on stamps would be great also are they still doing the 12 creme eggs for £3?

You are thinking of buying 48 creme eggs arent you piggy pipsqueak?

I just bought a magazine from WH Smith, and received no voucher.

Sorry but I am sure there must be restrictions. No gift vouchers, stamps, lottery or tobacco products at a guess otherwise it is basically a free fiver!

Great. That's the mighty boosh boxset and 36 creme eggs to eat whilst watching it.
All for £7.
Bargain!!!

Doesn't print 100% of the time, but usually a separate voucher

True, even if stamps were excluded it is still a good deal, and can possibly be combined with their other deal of a £15 gift card for £10 when you buy a greeting card.

Last time this happened, wasn't on itunes vouchers either!

they have just reduced the price of the Kobo to £59.99 too so with this it will be only £54.99

Can't believe WHSmith still exists! They were quite competitive for DVDs in the early 2000s before amazon etc took off but now.....

Yep for an Easter egg tombola and hunt of course - not for me!!

This amounts to a saving of 42% which is amazing !!! Heat added. (_;)

could you use the voucher online?

Or on pre-orders?

My husband just came from there, bought a paper and got a voucher for 20% off next purchase.

Sorry cold from me.

Cheers - thought there would be the usual restrictions.
In this case you can't really buy anything that you may want from there.

Completely misleading OP. Thanks for taking that HUGE pic of your receipt... and failing to actually explain that there ARE T&C

Glad you got your warmth. Hope it made you a little tumescent

Seriously - why have you just lied about this from the beginning? Could you not read the last sentence of the receipt that you so helpfully zoomed in on?

thanks for the comment-it isn't the end of the world if you can't buy enough stamps to last 20 years. At the end of the day its a good discount for those who can use it
