It is a very good price, ordered a bottle for Xmas on the weekly shop. Heat added....

I actually like this stuff, especially for a blend.

A good price. This has been on offer for a while at 2 for £25 so this is slighly cheaper and you only need to buy one bottle.

Thish deal ish chuffin' fantastik *hic*. Trebbles all round. *collapses on table*.

a big +1 from me.

it's not bad for a whisky mac or two in the cold weather. I've picked up a bottle despite my preference for a decent single malt - good to have something you don't feel a heathen for mixing.

It's never going to compete with a single malt, but for us non-whiskey-snobs who'd probably not appreciate the real good stuff it sure tastes nicer than Bells, Teachers et al.

My dad drinks Grouse, would he like this?

Nah, this is sweet, similar to JD. Is it a bourbon? Something similar anyway,

I find this the best of the blends. It's matured in sherry casks which gives it a full bodied but smooth, rounded taste. I used to drink Grouse but went off it as it seemed to lack character, it would probably make a more than acceptable change for him.

I'm sure i bought this last year at 10quid

Morrisons have been known to knock this out at £8 a pop at times. IIRC, it was around Christmas time, but it may have been just after.

For anyone who collect points if you buy it with 3 other items on a list (you'll see it online) you get 300 points.

It's not snobbishness just preference but this stuff is fine for mixing, as mentioned above it beats the likes of Bells et al & despite being a 'whisky snob' I did buy a bottle of this the other day (think it was on 2 for either £22 or £25 at the time)

Off thread slightly, but still talking hooch and Tesco..... They had 2 bottles of Jack Daniels for £25 when I was is in there on Monday, great deal.

I wish my local Tesco at Bromley would stock these deals - last time they had this offer there were none in sight on their shelves and customer service couldn't even find it on their compuer.

It is a good deal but the JD is 70cl.

This was at £10 a litre for the last two years at Tescos (Lady S love a tipple). I'm holding out closer to Xmas, not to be confused with another offer they some times do, 70cl at the same price.

(Smiling) It was around Christmastime £10 a bottle last year as Lee pointed out earlier. Its still rare for it to drop to this price for a single bottle and remember its only november 11.
