This is actually a really nice blend. I got some of this last year in Morrissons for £8, but for £10 it is still a great deal. Het & Rep

I try and take my Dad a bottle down at least once a month. Now I can keep him happy and save some money:thumbsup:

Not available near where we are - like nearly every whisky offer posted recently, ho hum :-(

Good price.

Might wanna edit your title to say 'blended'.

Picked up five bottles from my local store, for my Dad:)
Now all I need is a decent offer on Jamesons, Paddy's or similar for myself.....

Rough as a badger's! :-(

Glenfiddich (although often much maligned) is a Malt whisky, and this is a blended whisky, which contains a LOT less malt whisky and a whole lot of very basic spirit added in, so naturally a lot cheaper, although with some of the blends, they are priced as if they were a lot better than the simple paint-strippper they really are!

ANY Malt whisky is better than ANY blend in my view, but I accept that people's tastes vary - although usually, despite saying they can, they can't actually tell one brand of blended whisky from another, when blind tasted, or put into another bottle! :whistling:

Malts all have much wider variation in tastes, and the cheapest Lidl or Tesco or Sainsburys own brand Malt (of one characteristic or another) is like the smoothest aged Cognac by comparison! Still, if you are dumping a bottle of ginger ale in it, it doesn't much matter! Some people don't like peat-smoke flavoured Malts either, but like everything else, it is up to personal taste.

As one poster has said, Irish (which are effectively "malts" too, and not cheap blends either!) has a LOT to offer and is well worth trying to see what you like in that too.

Unfortunately for me, I rarely drink either now, as I get raging gastritis with more than a very small amount. Why is the stuff you like always the most forbidden :-(

Cant beat a tenner like! Although now i wish i wasnt off alcohol! :x

Will try it, thanks

Wish some offers on Talisker etc. were posted though!!

Great deal and thanks for the info, I went straight to tesco and grabbed 4 bottles!! They have put a limit of 4 bottles on it at our tesco. i had seen the bells offer at Sainsburys but prefer this brand!!
Cheers!
