Here at ThinkGeek we're pretty lazy when it comes to technology. We expect our gadgets to do all the busywork while we focus on the high level important tasks like reading blogs. That's why we hate to have to crack open our laptops just to see if there is any wi-fi internet access about... and keychain wi-fi detectors, we would have to actually remove them from our pockets to look at them. But now thanks to the ingenious ThinkGeek robot monkeys you can display the current wi-fi signal strength to yourself and everyone around you with this stylish Wi-Fi Detector Shirt. The glowing bars on the front of the shirt dynamically change as the surrounding wi-fi signal strength fluctuates. Finally you can get the attention you deserve as others bow to you as their reverential wi-fi god, while geeky chicks swoon at your presence. You can thank us later.

Haha nice one,, voted hot.

I might just get this

Wierd. but kinda cool I suppose. Not for me, but I'm sure there are plenty of folk who would appreciate something like this

that is cool man... but not for me!

I want one - I want one - I want one lol, hot

You would seriously walk about with this on your front??!

:-|

Rocks!!!! Nicey, Nicey!

Well if you live where I live, you'd only ever have full signal. All locked down mind so pretty useless for finding 'free' WiFi unless you turn on your phone/laptop etc...

...which you'd have to do anyway to use the wifi :whistling:

i'm pretty much always surrounded by wifi. does the glowing properties of the tee "wear out"???

This is my new pulling top, thanks.

Is this actually a deal or just a product the OP thought was cool? Seen this before and think it was the same price-ish.

it runs off batteries

Anyone who buys this should be shot.

Quoted for extreme truth.

hmmm

i can imagine the looks if you'd...

A - be wearing it.
B - change the batteries in front of others :w00t: "wait there lads, a need to put more batteries in ma tshirt"

cool concept... I must admit, however, I'm too chicken to wear something like this! Voted Coooool though --- not cold

If you actually want to buy this, I think you can get it cheaper from a UK retailer.
ThinkGeek charge about $25 to ship to the UK, making the total cost more like £27.

Firebox sell a similar t-shirt for £19.95. ]http//ww…058. If you use one of their £5 vouchers (links available elsewhere on hotukdeals), you'd end up paying £18.90 for it including shipping. And you can get Quidco cashback.

I only buy from Thinkgeek if I know I can't get the product here in the UK, they have some great stuff but with the postage it can get quite expensive.

Image of Firebox one- its different but similar (I think I actually prefer the Firebox one)

Thinkgeek is in america, so shipping casts may need to be taken into account ..
£24.64 shipped from UK. svp.co.uk/pro…177

"Geeks have already inherited the earth, they just haven't told everyone yet !"

Awesome shirt, and as a nerd / extrovert I'd wear it (and dodge bullets too, clearly).

But voted COLD as it's
(a) Not £15 in the UK - it's twice as much after shipping and
(b) NOT on offer right now, so it's not really a deal.

Feel free to post it to www.ColdNotUkNotDeals.com though

It would still show the signal whether they are "locked down" or not. :whistling:

how am i supposed to clean this when it gets dirty?

Yeah, how do we wash this?

Do geeks wash?

Anyone who doesn't see the humour in the product (and probably still relies heavily on wifi anyway) is very very sad and needs to get a sense of humour.

This is so much cooler than David Hasselhoff / Superman T-shirts that everyone thinks are 'cool'.

Never... Diss... The Hoff! ;-)

Dude1971;1911372

Yeah, how do we wash this?

Firebox page says:

Unplug the battery pack before washing
Hand wash only
Do not tumble dry
Dry in the shade
Drip dry
Do not wring
Dry flat
Do not dry clean
Do not iron over plastic area

Can't wait to see Roy wearing one in series 3 of the IT Crowd

Cold due to the geekish nature lol

Cold for me as it is actually much more than £15 and it is not a deal, just a product the OP likes.
Plus the extensive washing instructions make it far too much trouble ...

You think a Real Geek will wash their tshirt. Doesn't it just go back in the cupboard ?

How can you be criticising people for being geeks, when you yourselves are posting on an internet forum? :whistling:
