How come its £69.99 in Northern Ireland but £79.99 in the rest of the UK ?
Good spot @_TGR_ and welcome to the weird & wonderful world of posting deals on HUKD

Inner bit that receives the outer signal for anyone remotely interested in how it works!!

Splashproof?!. First sign of a proper down pour & it's basically rubbish?.
Only live video or does it include any recording?

Says SD card for recording. Wonder if you can access the recordings remotely. Also, wonder if you can turn on the camera for remote viewing, or whether you have to wait for it to be activated. You can get the proper Ring one for £115, but you then have to pay for storage.
Been saying this for ages. 170quid for a ring doorbell is insane for what is basically a wireless camera for 20quid and wireless doorbell for 10quid Great deal this.
although dont see need for one, deisgned at people who want everything

Quite. I have a ring at the moment. If this could offer the above with no sub then I'd swap
Hmm sneak up to any of these cameras put some gaffer tape over the lens and rendered useless or am I missing something?

Yes, your missing something.

These also have motion detection so you will be notified of anyone sneaking up and before gaffer tape is applied.

This will allow you to call a neighbor, the police, or to warn them you know what they’re up to.

Either way, better than any normal “dumb” doorbell
Cheers jaypr I will now cancel my rottweiler subscription..
If you ever use the likes of vipon they do a cheaper version for under £30. Though I've not read too much up on it as I have a ring doorbell 2. I'd not be without it now, it's come in handy for keeping an eye on my kids when they play outside as well as the usual deliveries etc.
If the blurb (and my understanding) is right and the SD card is in the 'sounder' that is plugged in inside the house, then that's a major selling point. A lot of 'Ring-a-likes' I've seen that have an SD card have it in the doorbell push itself. That's just plain crazy from a security point of view.

Good choice. Rottweilers are useless if you’re burgled when you’re out walking it
Seen this the other day. Unfortunately it's lacking in information, Google nest compatibility? Alexa? Echo show? Need more info.
Looks like a viable alternative to the overpriced Ring products
For anyone interested in this that may want to check out the accompanying app ahead of time, I think this might be it.

As long they wait for over six seconds for a reply because of lag, just expect a lot of videos of delivery drivers getting back in their vans

Serious question, I'm thinking of buying one of these - do you have evidence of long lags with this particular device, or is it just your attempt at humour? Thanks.
This looks reasonably decent. Only downside to the ring that I see is that I don't think you can power from transformer...

There will be some delay before it connects, but as its a Lidl product just return it if you find the lag is unacceptable..

Manual says that SD card goes into the wall plug
Anyone gotten one of these yet and tried it out?

Well I’ve bought one but haven’t tried it out yet. The pack is sealed so I was hoping somebody else might be able to confirm what it’s like before I break into it.
I'd like to hear too
Just wondered if @MrFizzy or anyone else have tested this yet?
Hi

i have bought this this and had it fitted for 3days now. It’s been working great decent camera and app. You get notifications as soon as motion detector activates within 5m radius. You can activate camera and microphone from app any time you want.
The only problem im having is getting it to record when motion sensor is activated. I have got an sd card fitted in the plug and it’s correctly formatted.
There is is a section in the app that lets you access recordings but there’s nothing there. I know the sensor is working as it’s less than 5m to the road from my path every time someone walks pas I get a notification.
Just wondered red if any one knew what I need to do to get it to record.

Thanks
Update it does record when motion sensor activated I just reset it and it now works

Hi. How reliable is it in providing notifications and being able to access the stored files when you are off your local network e.g. when you are on mobile data? Thanks

Mine is pretty good I’m getting at least 60/70 notifications a day! It c
goes off when people walk past and also cars. The app is pretty good too. I have an iPhone XS on o2 and the recordings load quite fast obviously depending on my signal. Hope this helps
Can you adjust the detection area? I'm in a similar situation and seeing blank areas on ring is useful!
Hi I’ve bought one of these but can not connect it
It’s asking for the qr code on the base station
which has wiped off a bit
it won’t scan the code
can anyone help pls

Sometimes there's a written version of the qr code underneath the code itself. If you can't manual enter you could try putting into a qr creater online and scanning that.
When is this available in store? This week or next?
Help we have bought one of these but have no idea how to receive notifications to the phone. Can anyone help me to set this up please thanks v much
