where is this london? x

Londons apollo victoria i belive

It's very good. I've been 3 times with my wife. And it cost an awful lot more than £25 per ticket.

Correct!

You do take a risk as you can only get them on the day, but if you willing to stand for an hour and a bit more then you should have a problem!

until i saw the pic i always wondered where the pedofinder general from monkey dust ended up

Haven't been to a play since 1999.

When is this running until ?

Paid around £87 from ticketmaster last saturday and it was seat row N. So hot deal indeed

good deal but i'm led to believe you can get these tickets with the majority of west end shows and not just wicked!!

Not really a deal, more a risk. But if your in London already then I suppose it's worth a go, one of the best shows around!!

But then I could say I fancy Chelsea to beat Utd at 2 to 1 on Saturday, just as much a risk!!

This is a good deal, but it's been like this as long as I've known it. I'm a massive 'Wicked' fan and have day ticketed a couple times. :-)
I tend to call front row, neck ache seats. You can spend the majority of the time looking up-and you can't always see the action on the back of the stage. I tend to go for row B, the end or middle of row, they can be about £25-£30 each. But if you can day ticket, it's worth it. :-)

This offer has been available for years, it's cracking if you can be bothered to queue for an hour or two. I went and got two tickets for me and my girlfriend and it was looooads better than I expected! View was great too... if you can, try to get seats 16 - 25 or the central section, but to be fair the view is fine from the front row all round.

I queued from about 8am to guarantee a ticket, by about 9 the queue tends to fill up. As it's max 2 tickets per person it means that if there are more than 12 people in the queue your not guaranteed one, and if there are more than 24 then no chance... just balancing how long you're willing to wait I guess. Take music and something warm. Wish I had.

They mention this deal on the Wicked website.

When you say 'they are released at the box office' do you mean the box office at the apollo where wicked is shown or somewhere else in central london, i.e leicester square, where they sell tickets to all types of shows?

Ive done this many times (17 i think haha) this is my favourite show in London i can't wait to see the new cast!

xx

edit: other shows in London do this too so it's definitely worthwhile checking with the theatre beforehand - Billy Elliot...etc

How about helping someone else out too?

great show worth every penny

Same question as Adnan786, where will these tickets be sold? Was planning to watch the show, but 62.5 for one at ticketmaster is just too pricey. Also, are the tickets for the show on that day ?

they are sold at the theatre (Apollo Victoria) on the morning of the show and yes, you get them for the show that particular day only (matinee and/or evening depending on the day).

xx

Amazing musical!good price!well spotted

Does anyone know wheather this is teh case for any other london/ west end theatre shows??

Would appreciate your feedback as I want to suprise the gf.

Thanks

Most west end theatres release these types of tickets. They are called standby tickets. A quick phone call to the box office should tell you if they release them every day or only when the show isn't sold out (for example, Wicked hold 24 seats back every day whereas Les Mis only sell at a lower rate if they haven't sold out). You should also ask from what time queues usually form (if there is a celebrity in the cast you could need to queue for a few hours before box office opening time).

NB - front row in this theatre is REally close - so be prepared for crook necks...
also the middle seats are right in front of the conductor... might be distracting

I was there and didn't find it a problem to be honest - only noticed the conductor if I stood up, otherwise he was hidden from view. I suppose if you're really tall you might see him... also didn't find it a strain on the neck either, the only thing difficult to view was the dragon stage prop used to introduce the show.

I am going to see this in August, Front Row of Circle
Should be good
