Bought this to replace my wife's hair drier. She's complaining that its burnt her fringe, so possibly could use it to remove old paint. It was originally around £20 so seems a bargain.

Boldness, or baldness.

Heard it dries you hair quickly, but may cause split ends heat added

You can but it's not for the faint of heart

Before I visited the site and looked at the heat gun I was prepared to criticize it for not having variable temperature like most other cheap heat guns. However it looks very similar to my Black & Decker heat gun, the difference being mine is orange, which has proved very useful. The variable temperature makes all the difference and anything without that is a false economy IMO.

I've used mine to speed up the drying of glue, fit heatshrink, dry trainers/shoes and many other small jobs were a concentrated heat source is needed. It was a good investment at around £30 about 8 or more years ago so for a tenner this is a very good deal and I recommended it. Heat added.

I've had one for years now and I use it to burn the weeds between the paving stones - does a great job!

Picked it up this morning and can deffo recommend it. Took three layers of gloss paint off my mother in laws wooden leg in no time, and shes now sporting a clear coat of varnish.

will this work with my bristly hair??

bought one to replace my old knackered one.

Bargain - in store for £10 and just removed last of old paint in around 10 minutes - I have spent a week chipping away at it before getting this!
