A couple of 4 day deals on atm...

Looks pretty good for those able to C&C, a few sizes in stock at the moment as well.
After a solution in my new place, need to either block pave or slab over an area for some furniture / BBQ... or go for decking, which would look a lot nicer.

Delivery is £30, so much better if you're able to collect from a store.

A few sizes avavilble on the offer, which seems to beat other places on size and when you look at the cost of each reversible board. Just need to watch 100 youtube videos on fitting it now... will end up with some kind of terrible looking fort otherwise

The equivalent at B&Q is £5.99. So, whilst it's cheaper here, it's definitely not the bargain you may assume
I wonder how many exclusions there are on that 10 year guarantee.
Local fence place to us has 28 x120 x 2.4m for £3.47 each. I know as I’m buying some tomoz. Maybe also check your local fence and lumber place.

Going from the quoted sizes, makes the Wickes ones £3.86 a length, comparatively speaking?
my nearest place for anything like decking boards is B&Q, Wickes is a 50 mile round trip so not saving much in the end

I just bought cheaper decking from Selco (they have it on offer now and free delivery but you need to call a local branch)

Probably can't be left outside in the rain or once laid warranty void. I just took up all my decking yesterday, 25 year guarantee I was told. It was down for about 12 years treated every year and about five years ago the rot started to a point this year it was too bad to leave down, dangerous in fact, totally rotted in places. Could not be bothered about the guarantee if there ever was one plus think the company has gone now.

With regards to this the selco death king is one of the thickest on the market making it far stronger so less bounce. I have used the selco decking for years and it is still looking amazing, I have just ordered more for a friend and he was impressed by the quality . The offer ends end of this month.

Do you lay it as-is, or further treat it? My decking is rotten so this is a timely thread for me.
My dad has dexlong but it's a great plastic one it's solid but very expensive cost over grand just for the boards but last forever and looks so nice ,the area was about 20 foot by 15 foot

Thanks you for this, you're a star. Cancelled my order with Wickes now
Selcobw only for business holders..
Worst thing we ever bought was decking, had it down 4 years and finally got it ripped up and the patio flagged.
It was very slippy in the wet and needed jet washing every few months but the worst problem was rats would burrow underneath and make it their nice cosy dry home.
When the council pest control came out every few months to poison them he said decking was one massive problem with rats.

I use it for edging for the flower beds and the vegetable patch. Works well, lasts long and looks fine (suits the straight edged 'Ikea' style gardens). Much, MUCH, cheaper than 'borders' bought in a garden centre.
quick DIY garden question, where is a good place to buy soil? Ive made some raised beds out of deck boards and would like ot fill them with soil. Is there a better way of buying soil without loading the car with loads and loads of compost bags? Thanks!

Most decent garden centres and builders merchants such as where this deal is from Wickes etc will deliver a massive bag of topsoil to your house.
Be warned though you will need a lot more soil than you originally expected.
