Back down to £5 each again. They are more expensive than the more basic style ones they do. These ones are the 28mm X 140mm X 2.4m premium ones which are biggerr nicer looking in my opinion.

I bought 70 lengths of 3.6m delivery and I picked up 1 length of 2.4m and mine have all been nice and straight. My only gripe has been a few boards have had banding marks (when they are banded together) and a few knotty types but majority are very good. I haven't finished yet 37952513-bm5AV.jpg

Good price, if you have a friend with a tradeprocard its even better extra10pc off
Could you make a few small shelves attached to a strong fence with these to use in the garden? I want to put some potted plants out but due to surroundings, they need to be elevated a bit to ensure they get sufficient sunlight.
took a while to measure up the area i want to deck in our odd shaped garden but think 64 boards would do it. £320, not too bad. My brother is in the trade and couldnt get a better price from his local timber merchants
Is a shame there's no 3.6m lengths been reduced as that is what I am currently looking for

Here. Only 125mm boards but are thicker 32mm boards (last longer). Also if you ask anybody who does decking the thicker the boards the flatter they are and the easier to lay.

That's a great price but they are out of stock. Cheers anyway

Oh thought you were probably Manchester way by your user name. Just phone your local branch to find out when they will have stock. It's a standard stock item so it's odd it's out of stock. Somebody must have bought a bulk load.

Oh ok. So not out of stock just they don't deliver in Scotland.
But should give you a ball park figure on prices to contact some timber merchants near you.

Well they are obviously strong enough for big fat heffers to walk on so I think they should cope with a few potted plants!
Did you know that photo is upside down and shows the underside of the board
I need only 60cm length of this board. You think I can ask them in store to cut it for me? As I havent got any power tool to do a straight cut. Voted hot
not really..
My local timber merchant sell 32mm thick decking for £1.50 a metre

I did this with these previously... So long as you put a support wood in the middle and at sides it becomes a really good strong shelf. Mine is still going no issues in my garden shed

Any timber local merchant will be much cheaper than any wickes or B&Q at any time
Don't risk ordering the 10-25 packs that come straight from the supplier - absolutely nightmare to deal with.

I ordered on the Buy One Get One Free deal back in April, over a month to deliver, over a month to collect 20% of the boards that arrived damaged. They collected them 10 days ago and no sign of replacements or a refund.
Do not assume they are 2.4m in length because they are not. +/- 50mm
"Always keep clean and recoat all sides with a deck seal"
Ahh i see those chimney sweeps who have been put out of work with the fashion for log burners with liners, can now make a living squeezing underneath decking to clean and recoat all sides

Yes they are good thickness of boards but if your span is too wide then you might want to go for a thicker board. These boards are groved both sides (thick even grooves on one side and small lumps on the other) show on the pics on the website. I found some other boards that were smooth on one side for some shelving / raised planter edges.
They are reverse decking boards too, you could use the grooves on the other side if needed.

I didn't have that much luck with them Most were knoty and bend as fcuk. returned about 60% and they didn't seem to be surprised

Or try to go to store and try to find a few of theirs C24 regularised construction wood... 90% is bend and/or twisted.

local merchants usually get you better wood and quite often for less.

BTW. Great project looks like a lot of work (neighbours will be jealous, they got right sh¡t in theirs )

Had a load of these when they were buy one get one free. Think I got about 30 square metres of it. Delivered exactly when expected and none of them were warped.
At the offer price they tend to come in a bit cheaper than the best prices at a local timber merchant and way cheaper than you can get them at Travis Perkins / Jewson etc

Nope, they're reversible. Most people use them as shown in the picture.
if you bought 70 but then only used 67, could you return 3 for a refund?

I'm sure you probably can, but why? Just keep them & make something creative. Plenty of ideas on pinterest for decking planks.

I need a shelf sized board under my custom water looped computer and planning to put castors on it. But you can call it decking if you like
About 2 years ago I laid 21 square meters of decking in my garden. Tried a few of these and there were garbage. I ended up ordering from here:

welbm.co.uk/product/wel-timber-decking-board-32-x-150mm-x-4-8m/

£9.59 (with VAT), this is for double the length than wickes, it’s also wider and thicker so arguably a better deal.

37957899-iInet.jpgThanks. All the structural timber (also 3.6m lengths) and the decking boards went through the house out the top half of the window. I got a couple scrapes on the ceiling that I need to clean now.

A chop saw and impact driver is a must. Decking is one of my favourite DIY jobs since doing my house (replacing kitchen, replacing bathroom, skirting, coving, decorating, woodwork, minor electrical, plumbing, fixing uPVC door mechanism etc.)

Yeah I got structural green timber from a local wood merchants. I found online was slightly cheaper but longer lead times. The long lead time on the Wickes deck boards allowed me to build the frame before it was delivered. As you can see with my garden I didn't have much space to store them as I was building it.

I thought I got a super long lead time because the BOGOF deal ended Monday then prices went down per item on Tuesday. I checked the prices on Tuesday morning before (work) 6am and noticed that the BOGOF was still working so I purchased it all again then cancelled my original order so I was probably last in the list for the BOGOF decking boards. Managed to get 2 packs of 25 and 2 packs of 10 for £394 when they were £480 on BOGOF and now £768 (which is a rip off).
Trade timber supplies offer good rates and generally deliver on same day of order. Based in Mansfield but they do travel quite a way I think.
grrrrrrr went to order and its back to £8
