This seems to be an instore only deal but I bought 4 earlier from the Swansea store. They were originally £20 but now down to a fiver...

Great, thanks.

Thanks

Nice find...seems to be three bits of wood which you have to drill yourself but a cheap way to do it!

Thanks for the post, can you stick up the dimensions pls?

From the link

Length: 1.2m Width: 90cm Size: 132L Height: 15cm

Looks like it's 2 1.2m sleepers (£11.99) and a 1.8m sleeper (£13.99) pre cut and notched - so around £38 if you were to try it yourself. Hot.

Looks like 150mm x 50mm planed timber to me. The dimensions would mean that it's basically a cut down piece of 3m timber, which makes it a pretty good buy really as the timber would be about a pound more and you'd have to cut it.

think you're right, they do look about half the width of the sleepers underneath.

You must live near a forest though - be about £15 just for the wood needed (standard 4.2m length), over this way! Checked because there's no stock on this within 26miles :-(

£15 for 4.2m? I've been making fence tops with 4x1 tanalised that cost £2.20 for 2.4m lengths. Maybe you need to shop around?

(Oh 4 inch vs 6 but do you need it that deep. I know some one used huge construction timbers to make a raised bed then didn't have enough soil to fill them but good job because he didn't really need raised beds IMO. Or maybe in comparison to me where I do get flooded every year even in summer).

yeah, I was just comparing like for like - if you were doing it yourself you might use a 3m length or 4x1 to your design.

This kit uses 150x50x4200 so just for the wood it's a good deal - as it says, could be used for interlocking sleeper edging or anything else.

Picked up 4 from the glossop store so heat & thanks to the op

Why is everyone saying it's 3 pieces of wood? Maybe I'm being dense, but shouldn't a rectangle have 4 sides?

Sorry, normally these types of posts link to the websites front page.

I bought 6 at Erith.

There are 4 pieces.

Its literately 4 pieces of wood, strapped together. I nearly missed them as there weren't any signs.

Think it was only spooki who said it was three, no-one else seemed to. Definitely four sides, otherwise your soil would fall out! X)

And tapi, haha. I was scratching my head over that...

Thanks, great deal. Priced on shelf and at by till at £20 each, so showed them website and they knocked it down. Great saving.

It's really excellent value. Managed to get 3 from the Slough branch. They were hidden away at the back of the warehouse.
