I realise the RRP prices are inflated a bit, but still looks like there's some good deals to be had on some rackets for beginners/intermediate players. Great with the tennis season (and hopefully good weather and a summer!) coming soon. A few that caught my eye were:

Dunlop Aerogel 4D series - reduced from £160/170 to £60
Head Microgel 5 - from £140 to £60
Head Ti Radical Lite - from £140 to £42

Most of the rackets come with full-racket cases and string vibration dampeners.

Available online and in-store, the grip sizes that are left vary, and if buying online postage is £3.99.

Probably getting cold because Sports Direct own Dunlop and a host of other brands. They set the rrp, so to say 70% off is just 70% off a fake, made-up rrp. You would need to check prices against other sports stores to see if these rackets are good value.

According to Wikki these are the brands they own:

Antigua
Carlton
Dunlop
Donnay
GoldDigga
Everlast
Kangol
Karrimor
Lonsdale
No Fear (outside North America)
Slazenger
Voodoo Dolls

Remeber when Kangol was a cool brand?

My 10 and 9 year old girls could do with a racket each to have a go at tennis - which of the cheapies would you recommend ?? what size too ??

Samuel L. Jackson is probably the only person who still thinks they're cool. They were top quality in their day, made in Cleator, Cumbria.

Are they legally allowed to over inflate the rrp like they do?

As long as it's been on sale at the inflated price in ONE of their obscure branches, then yes.

There are loopholes in the system which can no doubt be manipulated, so yes I would say so. Needless to say this practise isn't restricted to just Sports Direct either :whistling:
