Beware, the top reviews don't match the product.

Ordered! Worth a punt with next day delivery and a painless return process if it is poor quality.

Sellers name puts me off something you plug on to the mains!!!

Good Spot. USB’s and all that

I bought this at a reduced price a couple of weeks ago, my review is actually on there.

It's the same plug as the sonoff s20 which is very well reviewed.

Works perfectly with the ewelink app & the ewelink smart home fan skill in alexa too.

Build quality is excellent & it has no problem pairing or holding a connection at all, even in parts of the house with weaker wifi.

Just checked, my review is the 1st Nov one, Jonathan Fox, for those who may doubt the veracity of my claim.

This price is also cheaper than buying one from china, for some stupid reason the EU & US version is £6-8 delivered & the UK version is about £11 delivered, so if you want one (even if you don't want one usually they're ideal for hard to reach Christmas light plugs & the timer is very handy for those too) it's the best price I can see.

yep it sure looks like a Sonoff clone, dont know if the internals are the same?

Have a few of the originals flashed with Tamsota FW and in use with an OpenHab system, work fine.

Only paid about a fiver each at the time from Banggood, came in two weeks.

I haven't opened it up to check the internals, considered opening it up to flash it but I'm just using it with an echo dot so couldn't find any real benefit to doing so, despite my temptation to tinker!

Apologies for being a dimwit but what can you use these for?

Could you, for example, turn a lamp on and off if you were away on holiday and such like?

no this is independent. Just needs the ewelink skill.

I have one of these. It works really well but the app is a real battery killer

Can you use any of the other Home (google now etc) devices to turn these on and off like Alexa ?

Home automation really needs to be cross compatible.

Yes it's really confusing, I'm surprised Amazon has not made there own system or joined forces with One brand
