Been looking for one of these for a while and this is a great offer! The big thing for me is that 1- it is easy to set up, and 2- It has motion detection so I haven't got TB of videos clogging up my Google Drive! Also you can link it to your phone so you get push notifications when motion is detected (might want to disable this if its pointing at a main street, but point it at your front door and you are in!) and then check your pohone to see who is there!

In the unfortunate case your house is robbed (it happened to me once, I am sorry to say, but insurance covered it), then having a stored video is going to be helpful to hand to the police, as well as being able to notify them immediately (if you are on holiday for example)

This is by far the lowest it has been on 3C, and the reviews are good (as always with Amazon, not sure how trustworthy these are!)

Do you know if you need to buy anything else with this to get it working, like harddrive, or other cameras or would this work as it is? Thank you

It is IP linked and takes an SD card so I would expect not.
Good price but 720p isn’t going to give clear images, 1080p is the way to go if you can afford the extra, I’ve got 960p and whilst the images are ok ish if I could I’d have paid more for 1080p
1080p ones £69.99 each same link too amazon and select 1080p only a few left reduced from over £150 each ?

Like that comment I have a dog, not the dogs fault. It's just they don't know.

But give the owner a kick up the ass for letting his dog dog a on your garden.

You got it wrong.
720p camera has 1280x720 resolution. 1080p camera has 1920x1080 resolution. Your 960 is not between them as it has 960x480 resolution.

Haven't figured out who it is yet, I've got about 4 suspects, but it only seems to happen in the middle of the night... And I could sleep through a blitzkrieg...

It's a shame it is not a 1/3 inch sensor, nor sony as claimed on Amazon.

Not a bad price though, if you missed out on the black friday IP camera deals.

Could be 1280x960...
OP - can you sync this to upload to Google Drive?

No, that would be 960H

960p is 1280 x 960

The quality and size of the image sensor is at least as important.
Shame (for me) it's a 3.6mm lens. I need something with a wider angle to cover the full drive width.

The one I have is 1280 x 960p
good deal...does it do continous recording?
Thanks OP, I've purchased one

Does anybody know if there's a way to have this record directly to a NAS drive on the network? TIA

The camera can obviously push out the signal because of the phone app, but the phone app decodes the data. You need a package/app on the NAS for this...
I bought it and there's a promo on so it came with "Ctronics 1 pairs UTP Twisted Passive Video&Power Balun Transmitter" for free. Does this mean I can watch the camera directly on the TV with no need for apps etc. The other option is a free selfie stick!

Looks to be back up to £44.99

You would need to be able to run something on the NAS to capture one of the streaming protocols, or to capture jpeg images, or an FTP server for the camera to save snapshots to.

This appears to use the same UI as my 1080p Szsinocam, in which case it is likely to support Onvif, RTSP, RTMP (Flash streaming) and viewing the stream as JPEG snapshots (it calls mobile view, which works nicely in a smart TV browser) and an option to save frequent snapshots to an ftp server. Note: even though mine supports flash, I can still only configure the motion detection regions using its IE activex plugin.

Don't think so. That looks like it allows analogue video to be sent over CAT5 wiring. You'd need to use those as a pair. Doesn't look relevant to this camera at all. No idea why they are offering it as a promotional add-on. On the other hand they are also offering a selfie stick as a promotional add-on which also has no relevance to this camera.
where did you get it for 24.99? Its showing as 44.99 now 33113665-fe3WU.jpg
Would have taken a punt at £30...o well 30 quid saved
£25
fakespot analysis

netgear ,dlink cameras are more expensive and while the older versions can be got for £25~ (ebay) they will have a lower resolution but, will probably still be working in 12months time, and also have an ethernet port, which makes things easier
O i think it does have an ethernet port

might be worth buying..... .............and the price has gone up
Good security camera

What a shame. Just what i was looking for aswell
I managed to grab one and then went back in to buy another but the price went up to £44.99, spoke to ctronics and through their limited english they seem to be saying it was older stock they were clearing with lower storage capacity.
