As others have mentioned, TomTom have dropped support for all their wearable lines in the USA. Looks like Europe will be next... so buy it for what it is, but don't expect much in the way for support on these.

cbstar

Any good deals on tomtom watch that includes headphones?

spud131

You'll need the Spark 3 for this. You can create/download gpx files which will show a very basic map however it is very handy for confirming that you are on the correct route. I used it at the weekend and had the heart rate function on and the battery did drain quite quickly.

Sid87

Whoops, my fault. I assumed that it didn't have HR. GPS is great on the 35. Fixes location almost always within a minute or so. I've had numerous older Garmins, the Tomtom and a Suunto and 35 is the best in that regard. I've only had a hiccup once in the 7 months I've owned it when it completely froze and then stopped getting a fix. A hard reset rectified that. Good luck

can these be used for treking? I mean by that will the maps show the path?

Agree you can't go far wrong with Gore-Tex, but in my experience Event is a more breathable waterproof fabric.

Noticed also that the person who complained about the feathers gave 5 stars, odd

Rickardo

One of the reviews states toy can see the feathers through it and so it looks dirty (perhaps a lighter colour?), but this one is fairly comprehensive: DECENT JACKET FOR FALL/WINTER A good Fall jacket. It will perform decently layered with a warm midlayer in the frigid Canadian winter for quickly going to and from somewhere, which is what I purchased it for. Have worn it outside in slight rain and it was water-resistant. I wouldn’t use it for extended time outside in the winter, unless doing physically-demanding activities (shoveling snow, running, hiking, skating etc) because this won’t likely will not keep you warm if you’re casually walking around. Got it at a great sale price and am very happy with it. Purchased the grey in XS as I am petite. It fits a bit loose on me, with room for a hoodie or thick mid-layer. Fabric quality looks good with a matte finish, and you can’t see any feathers through the fabric.

My bad but I still can't find it without your link. Good find sir.

dodgybadass

Hot deal; but just be aware that these are pretty hefty 740g per tyre in a 32c. What are they using for puncture protection - lead? :) Definitely more suited to city commutes than anything speedy. I'd guess perfect for electric bikes.

StudentGrant

Should be a good alternative to (similarly reflective) Schwalbe Marathon Plus, just go for whichever you can find cheapest in size you need. St John Street Cycles is another good source.

CampGareth

Whereabouts on the Michelin site? This says otherwise: https://bike.michelin.com/en/products/michelin-protek-max "Thanks to the new generation of 5mm reinforcement offering effective anti-puncture protection."

honahonis30

1mm deep protection . Got that from the Michelin site. Schwalbe marathon plus are 5mm deep.

I use Shimano RS11 for my daily commute and Kinetic k1 42 for dry rides. Both are good for heavy riders. I used Mavic Aksium for a while but kept popping spokes. http://www.uk.kinetic-one.com/2018-kinetic-one-k1-42sl—duo—42mm-deep-alloy-wheelset-98-p.asp

It's a cheap lightweight tyre. For cruising around woods and bikeparks in the summer they are great. But I found the dual compound way too hard for any real life scenarios.

esq3585

Love nobby's NICs nice and light, but remember this version at £17.99 is the performance non snakeskin version, also the compound on this version doesn't have as great a grip as the other compounds, handy for a rear if you aren't a heavy user on the sidewalls

Sound.as.a.£

used once, like wearing a bin liner... breathable!!! not sure about that... spoke to Endure, they said you need the right base layer underneath to wick. I only did a really short ride, was soaked. My previous jacket was Gore, I could wear an array of tops underneath and cycle 50+ miles and not get sweaty. I always put my phone in a sandwich bag in the rear pocket to protect it from rain, when I took it out of this jacket it was dripping. Doesn't perform as described so sending back, think I would rather spend £100 on something that actually worked!

Biker25

That's not a £600 pound bike, £350 is about right.

alcatraz1968

Ok, so for me, my winter hack has an alloy frame, full mudguards, disc breaks, 28mm rubber and my summer bike is a full carbon frame and carbon wheels with 25mm rubber and I hate getting that dirty. That said, each to their own, as long as you're riding, don't realty matter. I'm just lucky enough to have 4 bikes!

ryanfinn75

He is right this may make a good winter bike. He is not implying that its ok to trash this but what you need to appreciate is the components on a summer bike are far more expensive to replace than whats on this. Dura Ace & Campag Record are not cheap. 105 on the other hand is fairly affordable.
