First deal, but I think its a good one.

Play.com have the Wii in stock. You won't find it on their site though. If you visit the Wii product page, you will see that there is no 'Buy' button. What if there was a 'Buy' button though? Where would it point? I think it would point to...
play.com/Gam…617

You can use this link and it will add a Wii to you basket, once it is in your basket it will show as being in stock.

I did this on Monday evening and I got my Wii this morning. A colleague did this on Tuesday morning and his Wii is showing as 'shipped'.

As of 1pm on 28/11/07 they are still showing as in stock.

Now that I have posted this here, I'll give it minutes not hours before play.com are either out of stock or they close this loophole.

Quidco is not available on consoles from play.com. I believe there is a £5 off £50 floating around but I wouldn't push your luck, if it is still showing as in stock then I would order ASAP.

Good luck to everyone, whether you are buying for a Christmas present or to make a killing on ebay or trade-in (CEX are currently giving £236 in vouchers + £7 for Wii Sports or £221 + £5 in cash). In fact, even if you are buying for a Christmas present, if the person you are buying for is old enough to understand the concept of money then you should trade it in and then get it back for a sensible price after Christmas and probably get an extra game too.

Let the rush begin!!

Don't call, just follow the instructions in the first post if you want a Wii for £179.99.

An admin has already removed this post once, the fact they put it back means something.

seems dodgy to me

i ordered via the link before i read the comments, should i cancel my card??

How rude! Please check your facts before posting.

I've as much evidence to suggest that you made this post to scare people off and buy them all for yourself as you have to suggest that I am a scammer (i.e. none at all).

:santa:Merry Christmas.

check with play to confirm if your order has been allocated or even recieved if not then yes cancel

will be interesting to see what comes of this x ;-)

Good advice, check with Play then maybe take action.. Sorry Jeffrey but direct links are a no no where card details are concerned....

just log out then go back and log in as normal and look at your orders.

m8 hes been on here ages and your on your 3rd post - he is just giving peeps a head up that it could be a scam - USE AT OWN RISK

OMG - This looks well dodgy - wouldn't put my card details into this link if they were giving the consoles away for free......:whistling:

I ordered one via the link for my friend, and if I log into play now it shows as order processing- also had email confirmation of order stating 179.99 too.

Yes, and I would also change my name and have a sex change just to make sure.

Ignore the comments on here. People seem to like pretending they know what they are talking about when they obviously don't.

It wouldn't be so bad if people said "I think this is a scam" or "This looks like a scam" but people say things like "This IS a scam". Ignore them and enjoy your Wii and/or ebay profit.

Jeffrey, I wasn't suggesting in any way YOU were a scammer, simply that this seems to be a marketplace person using play.com to 'sell' Wiis at RRP. THEY either have them or are collecting money...

heres where the problem lies. if the person had just posted the link and not tried to drop a stupid comment in it then it wouldnt look so dodgy. the link works fine without that in it

hi bazz this goes in as a play.com item not a playtrade item hope that clears up misunderstandings

Top posting.. considering you cant get them cheaper than £360 from Dixons today!!

mods have expired this now

[Incorrect comments removed by author]

Jeffrey44, i think, for everyone to stop doubting the deal.. do you have a picture of the console with the reciept from play.com.. i think this would help... Thanks

I may be missing something here, but if Play did actually have Wii consoles in stock, why the **** would they not just be showing it as 'in stock'? Would seem pretty daft for a big company to not update their stock on the biggest selling item around at the moment.......yet somehow 'jeffrey' has the secret method of getting to it.........

I have had a confirmation email for this at £179-99 and it was in stock, just went to Play typed in Wii and bingo, there it was....

they may have emailed people first that have been previously let down on a past deal on the wii and therefore giving them a heads up of this stock before the general public due to minimal stock

I have just spoke to play.com who told me that they do not have this item in stock. if you have ordered one phone to check.
