good price
wii wii wii all the way home. HOT
Good price for the set, heat added
Just so people are aware the one advertised is the Family edition which does not have GameCube backwards compatibility.
Never had a Wii or know about them, but would like to get one for my two girls for christmas.. Am i better off with a bundle of some sort with a couple of controllers and wheels etc or go for this then add to it ?? and also i here so much about "Motion Plus" is this it ???....Thanks in advance (_;)
wikipedia it.
this offer is INSTORE as well
Wii is very old tech now........about £50 is its current value IMO.

In terms of performance, graphics, and future development, it's completely dwarfed by the xbox/kinect combo (not tried PS move so cant comment there).

Whats the point in an "active" game you can win simply by sitting on the sofa flicking your wrist at the right time?

It's just a shame there arent more decent kinect games out yet!
Gamers will knock the wii (me included I despise the lie Nintendo sold us) but for kids it is fun until they work out like mentioned above u can just flick ur wrist rather than actually mimicking the real movement
TBH, I am aware of the wrist flick method, but I can't help diving in with the whole real deal effort. Probably because I don't play it too often, but I still love my wii.
My kids have enjoyed making the miis and downloading others. One benefit of an older model console is that the older, but still fun, games are much cheaper. I've just got Animal Crossing-Let's go to the City inc Wii Speak for £7.95 after seeing it on here RRP £59.99
saw this in my local store so instore availability too
Hi, does anyone know if there is a Black version of this available ? Cheers.
BorisTheSpider// xbox-kinect combo doesn't have many decent games... wii does.

posts moaning about the wii are even older and more boring.
if you cant play an 'active' game because the temptation to cheat yourself is too much then that says more about you than the wii.
like your comment on the kinect and how great it is.. except you cant use it as there are no games.
even flicking your wrist is better than nothing.

Totally agree. Being in a household where all 3 consoles get used and appreciated, you've got to give the Wii credit where it's due - value, playability and variety. Us oldies know how to look past graphics and underutilised gimics (Wii was built around the control system) with little 'uns only appreciating if it's fun or not.

Wow, and remember kids...Why bother running about outside with a ball when you can just sitting pressing a few buttons...
Kick the fun out of something why don't ya.
The fun is taking part and playing up the action, flicking your wrist might be your answer, others like a mutli person physical approach, and like playing the Wii properly to...(_;)
good deal!!!!!

Your x-box is dwarfed by my top of the range gaming PC but you still enjoy playing it don't you? Such a dumb fanboy argument. If people enjoy it why do you feel the need to get all Gestapo about it, you got shares in Microsoft or something? I've owned all the consoles and they all have their place.
How do you feel about me using an Amiga? - does it fill you with rage?

Go bust some kinect moves with your 'trendy' friends and leave everyone be.

I may not be a fan of the Wii, but it has its place.
Unlike your atrocious spelling of cereal.

I despise the lie Nintendo sold us

what lie??
good deal, the wii is probably the best console for interaction with the kids, get super mario galaxy, mario kart and super mario world and youll be content for a long time.

I have yet to play anything on the 360 that compares to the quality and gaming fun of Mario kart with mates or Mario Galaxy on my own, Mario world is genius and there are many more games that are as much fun to play as when I first got them, Zelda, Metroid, Resident Evil 4 or Chronicles...
Sadly graphics beat gameplay for many gloss over substance seekers who wouldn't know a good game if it hit them in their limp flicked wrists.

Does anyone know how many controllers/nunchucks are included in this package?

Did he mean serial?
This is an excellent price - most other places have the re-designed console for £20 to £40 more. Amazon are charging £129!!

The wii was never designed to be a competitor to the Xbox/ps3, Nintendo cleverly realised they couldnt compete so aimed their console at a completely different gaming market, and more importantly got it to market quickly.

They are also a great tool for helping children with learning difficulties improve motor skills etc.

Hot.
good deal!
